1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. light rum
1/2-oz. Galliano
3/4-oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz. passion fruit syrup
1-1/2 oz. orange juice
1-1/2 oz. pineapple juice
dash of Angostura Bitters
fresh tropical fruit for garnish
ice

Steps:

  • Shake all ingredients together with ice and strain into a Hurricane glass filled with ice. Garnish with fresh tropical fruit.

Steps:

  • Combine equal parts sugar and water by volume. Transfer to a bottle. Seal with a cork; shake vigorously until all sugar has dissolved.

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 cups water, divided
1/2 cup coarsely chopped peeled fresh ginger
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon finely grated lime peel
3/4 cup golden brown sugar

Steps:

  • Thoroughly blend 1 cup water and ginger in blender. Bring remaining 2 cups water to boil. Add ginger-water mixture, lime juice, and lime peel. Remove from heat; cover and let steep 1 hour. Add sugar; stir to dissolve. Strain syrup into bowl. Chill until cold.
