Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
• Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

• Blend flour, baking soda and salt.
• Cream sugars and mayo together.
• Gradually add dry mix to creamed mix& mix well.
• Add vanilla and 1 tbl.
• water (or more for desired consistency).
• Add chocolate chips.
• Mix well.
• Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.

• Cream together butter, margarine and sugars.
• Next add vanilla, lemon juice, eggs, and salt.
• Stir in dry ingredients.
• Make cookies desired size.
• (They turn out very well if you roll the dough into a ball then flatten it some onto the cookie sheet).
• Bake at 350 degrees for about 13 minutes.
• Makes around 4 dozen.
