This is a quick substitute if you have run out of sweetened condensed milk.

Steps:

  • Combine evaporated milk, sugar, and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk together. Heat to a simmer and cook until thick, 15 to 20 minutes.

Being a diabetic is hard. It's difficult to find everyday ingredients. However, if you use some of the "in-a-pinch" recipes and make your own, you can substitute the sugar for Splenda and **HOPE** it turns out right. This did and it's really opened doors for me as a dessert maker.

Steps:

  • Stir milk powder into cold water until dissolved.

  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator.
