This came to me via my friend Korin who is a mom of five. she say's all her kids really loved it so i tried it and my kids did too. we did the cool ranch and sweet and spicy chili ones

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 lb chicken breast, cut into tenders
2 cups Egg Beaters egg substitute
5 cups crushed Doritos

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Pour some fake eggs onto a shallow plate. Crush the Doritos into a bowl.
  • 2. Line a baking sheet with tin foil. Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel. Soak the tenders on each side in the egg mixture. Then evenly coat the tenders with the crushed Doritos, making sure to try and coat the entire tender.
  • 3. Bake the tenders for 20 minutes, or until the tenders are cooked through.

We all love Doritos. We use potato chip crumbs, pretzel crumbs, corn flakes, cracker crumbs, and bread crumbs. Why not Dorito crumbs as a coating? Especially yummy with chicken! Adapted from various recipes. 06-23-15

2 chicken breasts , skinless and boneless
3 eggs
1/4 c milk
1-1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 bag(s) doritos (your favorite flavor)

Steps:

  • 1. Trim any fat from the chicken and cut it into strips about 1/2" thick.
  • 2. Place the flour in a bowl. In a separate small bowl, beat the eggs; add milk and whisk until well blended.
  • 3. Using a food processor, or any other method you prefer, crush the Doritos until they resemble coarse bread crumbs. Place them in a separate bowl.
  • 4. Dip each chicken strip in the flour, followed by the egg mixture. Roll each strip in the crushed Doritos and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • 5. Bake in a preheated 375º oven for 25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • 6. Serve with Ranch dip or any other dip of your choice. If you like it hot, try some Vidalia Blossom Sauce, available at WalMart. Enjoy!

  • Crush the Doritos or tortilla chips in a bag with a rolling pin. Crush them thoroughly. The smaller the pieces, the better they'll coat the chicken. Place the crushed chips in a bowl for dredging the chicken. Put the beaten egg in another bowl.
  • Working with one or two chicken strips at a time, first coat the chicken strips with the egg, then coat with the crushed Doritos. Gently press the chicken into the crushed chips, then pour chip pieces over the chicken strips. Gently press chips into chicken. This help chips to stay dry. If they’re wet, they stick less to the chicken.
  • Pre-heat your Air Fryer at 380°F (195°C) for 4 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket or racks with oil spray. Gently lay chicken pieces in the basket or on the racks in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Spray oil spray on top of coated chicken.
