This is a great party dessert for the chocolate lover in all of us. Optional: decorate top with canned whipped topping swirl and shaved chocolate curls. Make sure you get a little of each layer in every serving. Enjoy!

- Prepare brownies according to package directions. Bake and cool completely. Cut into 1 inch cubes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together milk and pudding mix until mixture begins to thicken. Dissolve coffee granules in water and stir into pudding mixture. Fold in whipped topping.
- In a glass serving bowl, layer one-third of brownie cubes, one-third of pudding mixture and one-third of candy. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used. Chill 30 minutes in refrigerator before serving.

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE TRIFLE

- Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan. Cool 5 minutes. Use fork to poke cake all over.
- Drizzle liqueur over cake. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 12 hours.
- Meanwhile, make chocolate mousse as directed on box. Cover and refrigerate until cake is ready.
- To assemble, crumble one-fourth to one-third of cake into bottom of very large trifle or punch bowl. I like to use a punch bowl, which is typically much bigger than your typical trifle bowl.
- Add a layer each of chocolate mousse, whipped cream and crushed candy. Repeat until you have 3 to 4 layers. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

- Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Bake and cool and cut into 1 inch cubes.
- In a bowl, combine pudding mix, and milk. Whisk till slightly thickened. Dissolve espresso powder in another small bowl with hot water. Let sit till cooled. Add to pudding mixture and combine. Fold in two cups of the whipped topping.
- In a glass serving bowl or trifle bowl, layer 1/3 brownie cubes, 1/3 pudding mix and 1 chopped candy bar. Repeat twice more and top with remaining whipped topping. Chill for 60 minutes or overnight to allow brownie cubes to soften slightly.

- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips and butter with cream; stir until smooth. Add vanilla; cool. - Make the pudding: In a medium pot, combine the milk, table cream, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt and whisk together until evenly incorporated. Cook over medium-high heat, whisking constantly, until starting to thicken and bubble up, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and whisk in the butter and vanilla. Strain the pudding through a fine-mesh sieve into a medium bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing directly against the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Make the whipped cream: In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Whip with an electric hand mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form, 3-4 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag fitted with a large tip and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Make the chocolate ganache: Add heavy cream to a microwave-safe liquid measuring cup. Microwave for 1 minute, until very hot. Add the chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a small tip. Set aside until ready to use.
- Assemble the trifles: Transfer the chocolate pudding to a piping bag fitted with a large tip.
- Add about ½ cup of the pound cake cubes to the bottom of each jar, pressing down to compact. Pipe about ¼ cup of chocolate pudding and ¼ cup of the whipped cream on top. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and 2 tablespoons chocolate caramel candy bars on top. Repeat to make a second layer with the remaining ingredients. Finish with a drizzle of chocolate ganache and garnish with fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint. Serve with chocolate spoons.

- Prepare cake as directed except divide mixture among 3 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans and bake for 22 minutes. Once cakes are cooled trim off outside edge and chop or tear in to bite size pieces. To prepare pudding whisk together cornstarch and sugar in a sauce pan. Whisk in the milk, egg yolk and vanilla. Cook over medium heat whisking frequently. Once thickened remove from heat. Stir in the stout and chocolate. Once the chocolate has melted pour into a bowl to cool. Place in the refrigerator and cool for at least 2 hours. To assemble the trifle: Place half of the chopped cake on the bottom of a trifle dish. Top with half of the pudding and almost half of the Heath bar bits (Reserve about 1/4 C. for the top). Repeat. Top with Truwhip and what is left of the Heath bar bits.
