DRAGON'S BREATH CHILLER

Number Of Ingredients 6

10 ounces Pisco
2/3 cup orange cognac liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
2 1/2 cups freshly squeezed blood orange juice
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
5 to 6 cups ice
2 blood oranges, sliced

Steps:

  • In a big pitcher mix together all the ingredients but the blood oranges. Pour into glasses and garnish with a few slices of blood orange.

I came up with this recipe for my Husband's boss who can not get enough heat or garlic in his food. He still requests this dish often, according to this wife. Warning: I would not recommend this recipe for a first date or a romantic evening. You will love it if you love garlic and very spicy food. It's also very good on French bread for a spicy garlic bread alternative.

4 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
¼ cup roasted garlic
1 cup mayonnaise
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets

Steps:

  • In the container of a food processor, combine the jalapeno peppers, horseradish, garlic and mayonnaise. Set aside 3/4 of the mixture in the refrigerator. Brush or spread the remaining 1/4 onto the salmon fillets. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat a grill for medium-high heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill the salmon fillets until they are able to be flaked with a fork, about 7 minutes per side. Baste occasionally with the remaining marinade.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon diced onion
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
4 slices Gouda cheese
4 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Mix ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, onion, and garlic together in a large bowl. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate. Grill patties until browned, about 5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking on the second side, about 4 minutes. Add 1 slice of Gouda cheese to each patty; cook until slightly melted, about 1 minute. Serve on hamburger buns.
