2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
¾ cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 egg, beaten
½ cup vegetable oil
2 cubes beef bouillon cube
¾ cup boiling water
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly grease one cookie sheet.
  • Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and allow to cool.
  • Combine the flour, dry milk, egg, oil, beef broth and brown sugar. Mix well and knead dough for 1 minute.
  • On a floured surface roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out bones and place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes and allow to cool.

2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Shape into walnut size balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Press criss cross into each ball with fork.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Feed to your special puppy.

1 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 large egg, room temperature
2 tablespoons canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Combine flour, wheat germ and cinnamon. Stir in remaining ingredients. On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a 3-in. bone-shaped cookie cutter., Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until bottoms are lightly browned (tops may crack), 30-35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container.

1 banana, thinly sliced
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1 cup flour
1 cup chocolate, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
  • For the bananas: Mix the bananas in a bowl. Squeeze the lemon juice on them to ensure they don't brown. On a parchment paper-lined baking tray, brush 1 tablespoon melted butter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar and lay out the banana slices. Brush the slices with remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake for about 1/2 hour until the bananas are golden brown. Set aside.
  • For the cookies: In a medium bowl, stir together the peanut butter and honey. Mix in the flour, then the caramelized bananas and chocolate. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop tablespoon-size clusters on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup flour (plus more for rolling)
1 cup cornmeal
1 1/2 tablespoons beef or 1 1/2 tablespoons chicken broth, base
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine the beef or chicken broth base with the water to make a very concentrated broth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, broth, and oil.
  • Work (with hands may be easiest) until it forms fairly evenly mixed dough. Add more water if it seems too crumbly.
  • Roll out to 1/4" with a rolling pin on a floured surface. Sprinkle with flour as necessary to prevent sticking.
  • Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter of your choice. Re-combine scraps and roll out again to make more.
  • Place shapes on a nonstick cookie sheet and bake approximately 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
