Kids of all ages will enjoy these adorable appetizers. The savory bite-size snacks are quick to assemble with convenient crescent dough, hot dogs and Swiss cheese. Serve additional mustard alongside for dipping.

1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated reduced-fat crescent rolls
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat Swiss cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt-free seasoning blend
8 reduced-fat hot dogs

Steps:

  • Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into eight triangles. Cut each piece into two triangles. Spread each triangle with mustard; sprinkle with cheese and seasoning blend., Cut rounded ends from hot dogs (discard or save for another use). Cut hot dogs in half widthwise; place one piece on the end of each triangle and roll up. , Place pointed side down 2 in. apart on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375° for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

4 slices American cheese, each cut into 6 strips
1 (8 ounce) can Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit.
  • Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
  • Bake 12-15 min or until golden brown.

This was one of my dh's favourite dishes, when we were first married, it was a great way to use up leftover roast beef with Pillsbury crescents dough. It's tasty, quick and easy to make and best of all it looks like it took awhile to make. Only you need to know how easy this was.

3 tablespoons sweet white onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup sweet red pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup yellow sweet pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup wild mushroom, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups beef, leftovers, diced
1 (8 ounce) package Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
1 tablespoon margarine, softened

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl mix the onion, mustard, parsley, salt, pepper, margarine and lemon juice together and blend well.
  • Add the cheese, colored peppers, mushrooms and the diced beef, mix lightly.
  • Separate the dough into 8 triangles and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Arrange the triangles in a circle with the bases over lapping.
  • The center opening should be about 3 inches in diameter.
  • Points should be towards the outside.
  • Spoon the filling in a ring over bases of triangle.
  • Fold the points of the triangle over the filling and tuck under the base at the center of the circle.
  • When finished it should look like a round ring.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
  • Perfect served with a fresh salad.

3 tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese, divided
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into eight triangles. Combine 2 tablespoons cheese, green onion and mustard; spread about 1 teaspoon over each triangle. Roll up from the short side. Place point side down on an ungreased baking sheet and curve into a crescent shape. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees F for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown.
