Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180°C) and line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and eggs.
- Next, whisk in the butter, chocolate, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Finally mix in the chocolate chips.
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, until slightly set.
- Scoop golf ball-size dollops of cookie dough onto the baking tray, making sure you leave enough room for them to spread out.
- Bake for 12 minutes, until crispy on top and slightly gooey in the middle.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease an 8x8-inch square pan.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- Beat sugar and butter together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs until smooth batter forms; beat in chocolate and vanilla extract. Stir flour mixture in just until incorporated; fold in walnuts. Spread batter into prepared square pan.
- Bake in preheated oven until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool completely in square pan, about 30 minutes; cut into 9 squares.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix cookie ingredients until well blended.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
- Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- In 2-quart saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of the hot water until smooth. (If frosting is too thick, add additional water, 1 teaspoon at a time.) Spread frosting over cookies.

- Preheat oven to 350°F Position 2 racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven. Line two large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Spread the walnut halves on a large rimmed baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 9 minutes, until they are golden and fragrant. Let cool slightly, then transfer the walnut halves to a work surface and finely chop them.
- In a large bowl, whisk the sugar with the cocoa powder and salt. Whisk in the chopped walnuts. Add the egg whites and vanilla extract and beat just until the batter is moistened (be careful not to overbeat, or it will stiffen.).
- Spoon the batter onto baking sheets in 12 evenly spaced mounds.
- Bake the cookies about 20 minutes, until the tops are glossy and lightly cracked and feel firm to the touch. Shift the pans from front to back and top to bottom halfway through.
- Slide the parchment paper with the cookies onto 2 wire racks to cool completely before serving.
- Cookies may be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
