Ginger shots are quick and easy to make at home, whether you've got a juicer a blender or neither! You can enjoy ginger juice today with any of these recipes

11 oz ginger
5 lemons
dash Honeyto taste
1 Herbal tea bag (your choice I like mint)
2 oz ginger
1/2 lemon (peeled)
Squeeze honey
2 oz ginger
1/2 lemon
1/2 orange
Pinch cayenne pepper
3 oz ginger
1/2 lemon
3 springs oregano
3 oz ginger
1 oz tumeric
1 small apple
1/2 cup club soda
2 oz ginger
1 carrot
1 small garlic clove
2.5 oz ginger
1 sprinkle cayenne pepper
2 oz ginger
1/2 lemon
coconut water to taste
2 oz ginger
1/2 green apple
2 oz ginger
1 cup pitted cherries

Steps:

  • Peel the ginger and any other ingredients you're adding
  • Feed it all through the juices, ginger first so it gets pushed through
  • Peel the ginger and any other ingredients you're adding
  • Put all ingredients in blender, if it doesn't blend properly add a little water
  • Strain the contents through a seive or a nut milk bag
  • Drink and Enjoy!
  • Fill a pan with about 1.5L of water
  • Peel and slice the ginger and add it to the water
  • Slice 1 lemon and add it to the water
  • Heat and simmer for about 45-60 minutes
  • Juice the remaining 4 lemons
  • Remove from heat, add lemon juice, and honey if you want some sweetness and the tea bag
  • Leave to sit for an hour strain and pour into a bottle

A potent mixture of fresh ginger, lemon, and honey is the perfect pick-me-up. Don't have a juicer? This customizable recipe is made in a blender.

1 pound fresh ginger
6 lemons
1/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup honey

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Wash and dry the ginger, then coarsely chop.
  • Juice the lemons , straining off the seeds, and pulp until you have about 2/3 cup of lemon juice.
  • Add the ginger, lemon juice, water, and honey, if using, to a blender .
  • Blend on high until a mostly smooth, thick mixture forms, stopping to scrape down the bowl occasionally, about 2 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a fine-mesh strainer lined with a doubled sheet of cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel set over a medium bowl. Let drain for several minutes.
  • Gather up the edges of the cloth and twist, squeezing the ginger pulp into a ball inside the cloth. Squeeze well and continue to twist, until no more liquid is dripping out of the cloth and the pulp is very dry. Discard the pulp.
  • Transfer the liquid into a bottle using a funnel and chill.

¼ cup sliced fresh ginger
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey

Steps:

  • Bring the water and ginger to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar and honey until the sugar has dissolved. Strain out the ginger to serve.

  • JUICER: To a juicer, add orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger (depending on the juicer, you may need to peel the orange and lemon - our Hurom does recommend peeling before juicing, so that's what we did).
  • BLENDER: Add turmeric and ginger to a high-speed blender or small blender. We prefer the Nutribullet. Then add the juice of the orange and the lemons (this helps the mixture blend easier, and removes the pulp/rind). A juicing tool like this or this can help! Blend on high for 30 seconds.
  • Add a little water if it has trouble blending but you shouldn't need any. Then strain through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer, or nut milk bag. Just be aware that turmeric can stain.
  • FOR SERVING: Divide between serving glasses and enjoy! For maximum benefits, enjoy immediately and top with fresh cracked black pepper. One commenter also recommended adding a little fat to improve turmeric absorption, such as olive oil!
