Great marinade for steaks, chicken, pork or fish. This sauce recipe itself is gluten free and dairy free.

1/3 cup Tamari gluten free reduced sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. dried basil
1 1/2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. ground white pepper
1 tsp. dried minced garlic
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend on high speed 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
  • If desired, poke meat with a large-pronged fork on both sides so marinade can absorb into the meat while marinating.
  • Pour marinade over meat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours or overnight.
  • Remove meat from marinade.
  • Shake off excess and pat down with damp paper towels to remove all the oil.
  • Grill meat as desired.
  • Great marinade for steak, chicken, pork or fish.
  • Makes about 2 cups marinade.

4 steaks
3 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce- I like to use VH Low Sodium Soy sauce, which is gluten-free.
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tsp Freshly ground pepper

Steps:

  • In a large Ziplock freezer bag mix garlic, Worcestershire, balsamic, mustard, soy, olive oil, and pepper.
  • Close the bag and really shake it up.
  • Unzip and add in steaks and shake up again.
  • Leave steaks in mixture for at least 30 minutes. If leaving the steaks out at room temperature leave them for no more than 1 hr. If keeping the bag in the fridge, you can keep the meat in the marinade for up to 4 hours. Remember to bring meat to room temperature before grilling.
  • Turn and shake the bag often to make sure steaks are well coated, no matter how you've marinated them- room temperature or in the fridge.
  • Once your grill is hot, oil the grill and cook to desired temperature.

3/4 cup gluten-free reduced-sodium tamari soy sauce
2 tablespoons dried thyme
1 beef flank steak (2 pounds)
3 bunches green onions, chopped
1/3 cup reduced-fat butter
1-1/2 cups dry red wine or reduced-sodium beef broth

Steps:

  • In a shallow dish, combine soy sauce and thyme. Add the beef and turn to coat. Cover: refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight., Drain and discard marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). Let stand for 5 minutes., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, saute onions in butter until tender. Add wine; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened., To serve, thinly slice steak across the grain; serve with sauce.
