Golden Corral Bread Pudding with vanilla sauce is a delicious and popular dessert. Find out how to make it with this easy copycat recipe.

3 cups french bread cubed (homemade yeast rolls are best to use )
1/2 cup butter (melted)
2 cups whole milk
2 eggs (beaten)
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon flour
1/8 teaspoons salt

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, Scald milk and butter together. Remove and set aside. Beat eggs add brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. When milk is cool enough add egg mixture making sure that the egg mixture does not curdle.
  • Add bread cubes and stir carefully, do not beat. Place in an 8"x11" well-oiled pan. Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes, check with a toothpick. When done set aside.
  • Mix all ingredients together and bring to a low boil for 3 - 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside for 5 minutes, pour about 1/2 mixture on warm bread pudding and place the remainder of sauce in a serving bowl for those that desire that little extra. Best served warm, but great at room temperature.

No need to stand in the buffet line for this sweet treat. This homemade version is made with cubed French bread and served with a sweet white sauce.

2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups cubed stale French bread
White Sauce
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour
1 dash salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 8x11 baking dish. Combine the milk and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook to 170 degrees F then remove from the heat and set aside to cool. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with an electric mixer until frothy. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt and mix well. When the milk mixture is cool, add to the eggs (if it is warm it will make the eggs curdle). Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and stir with a spoon until just coated in the custard. Transfer the bread pudding to the prepared baking dish. Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes or until set in the middle. Remove from the oven and let cool while you prepare the sauce. For the sauce, combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk well over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and let the sauce cool for 5 minutes. Pour half of the sauce evenly over the bread pudding. Serve the remaining sauce on the side of the bread pudding. Best served warm.

10 slices white bread, cut into cubes
¼ cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup raisins
6 eggs, beaten
¾ cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups hot milk (160 degrees F/71 degrees C)
1 pinch ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly butter one 2 quart baking dish.
  • Combine bread cubes, butter, cinnamon and raisins; mix well and place in baking dish.
  • Beat together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Add milk, mix well and pour over bread cubes.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake for 25 minutes.

4 cups soft white bread cubes
3 large eggs eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups warm water
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup butter or margarine
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon rum flavoring

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees;. Place bread cubes in buttered 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In large bowl, beat eggs and cinnamon; add remaining ingredients except Butter Rum Sauce. Pour evenly over bread, moistening completely.
  • Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Serve warm with Butter Rum Sauce. Refrigerate leftovers.
  • Butter Rum Sauce: In saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter or margarine; add 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar and 1/2 cup whipping cream. Boil rapidly 8 to 10 minutes; add 1 teaspoon rum flavoring. Serve warm. (Makes about 1 cup)
