This is a great, moist, banana flavored cake.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 pan. Place marshmallows in a single, even layer in the bottom of the pan.
- Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. By hand, stir in the flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in nuts and bananas.
- Pour batter over marshmallows, making sure that marshmallows are covered, and that the batter reaches all sides of the pan.
- Bake on center rack of oven for 45 minutes. Marshmallows will rise to top and make a topping. The cake may look slightly underbaked because of the marshmallow topping. Allow the cake to cool before serving.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Whisk flour, white sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cloves together in a bowl. Beat eggs and vegetable oil in a separate large bowl until creamy; mix applesauce into egg mixture. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; stir until batter is smooth. Fold 1/2 cup walnuts and raisins into batter. Pour into prepared baking pan.
- Mix brown sugar, 1 cup walnuts, and chocolate chips together in a bowl; spread over the cake.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.

- Fill 4 champagne glasses 1/4 of the way with the sparkling cider, and then fill them 1/2 of the way with ginger ale. Add a shot of vanilla vodka, and a shot of cinnamon schnapps to each glass and serve.

- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat together egg yolks and egg white. Beat the egg mixture into the butter and sugar.

- Combine the first 3 ingredients; let rest until cool.
- Cream margarine and sugar, adding eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Fold in cooled dates.

FAY'S PICNIC CAKE
This is very easy and simply delicious. Similar to some dump cakes but different ingrediants. I like it best served with either cool whip, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top. Fay was my mother and she was given the recipe by some unknown person many years ago.

- In a 9 x 13 ungreased baking pan place the peaches and juice.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches.
- Sprinkle the coconut on top of the dry cake mix.
- Sprinkle the nuts on the top of the coconut.
- Drizzle the melted margarine evenly over the cake.
- Bake 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until it is nicely browned.

GOLDEN RUM CAKE
This rum cake is a family favorite at all our get-togethers. The butter rum glaze makes it quite special. An easy way to glaze your cake is to pour half of the glaze into the Bundt pan, reinsert the cake, then pour the rest of the glaze over the bottom of the cake. Let the glaze soak in thoroughly, then invert back onto the platter.

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan. Sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly over the bottom of the pan.
- Combine cake mix and pudding mix in a large bowl. Mix in eggs, 1/2 cup rum, 1/2 cup water, and oil until well-blended. Pour batter over chopped nuts in the pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean, about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, combine sugar, butter, and remaining 1/4 cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens and slightly darkens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1/2 cup rum.
- Let baked cake sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Brush glaze over top and sides. Allow cake to absorb glaze and repeat until all glaze is used.
