GORDON RAMSAY'S STEAK MARINADE



Gordon Ramsay's Steak Marinade image

This marinade is made with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sugar, and spices. You need to marinate the steak in this marinade for 6-24 hours.

3 tablespoons Olive Oil
⅓ cup Balsamic Vinegar
⅔ cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 sprigs Rosemary (minced)
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
½ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
⅓ teaspoon Red Spoon

Steps:

  • In a zip-lock bag, add balsamic vinegar, oil, sugar, and soy sauce. Also, add rosemary, minced garlic, red pepper, and black pepper to it. Close the bag and mix it well.
  • Then, add the steak to the bag and shake it, so the steak gets coated with the marinade.
  • Keep the bag in the refrigerator to marinate anywhere between 6-24 hours.
  • After that, take the steak out and pat it dry. Then, cook it any way you like and serve.

  • Put your steak into a freezer bag and add a spring of thyme and rosemary. Squeeze the air out of the bag as much as possible.
  • To start cooking in sous vide method, pour water into your pot, set sous vide machine time and temperature based on its instructions, then fully submerge the bag in the water. For rare, cook the steak to 123 degrees Fahrenheit. For medium-rare, set it to 131 degrees and 158 degrees for well done. Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • When the steak is done cooking, remove it from the bag and pat dry with paper towels if necessary.
