HOMEMADE PUDDING POPS

Homemade Pudding Pops image

Fudgy, chocolatey Homemade Pudding Pops are surprisingly easy to make and SO good. You just need a popsicle mold, some milk, sugar, a little cornstarch, and chocolate.

Provided by Tracy

Categories     Dessert

Time 4h20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
¼ cup (30g) cornstarch
¼ teaspoon salt
3 cups milk (whole preferred, but any percentage will work)
1 cup (6oz) chopped semisweet chocolate (good-quality chocolate chips are fine)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Slowly pour in milk, whisking continuously to keep lumps from forming.
  • Heat over medium-low, whisking occasionally, until mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep the heat low enough that the pudding thickens without coming to a simmer. If it begins to simmer, turn down the heat.
  • Stir in chocolate and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, until chocolate is completely incorporated. Stir in vanilla and remove from heat.
  • Strain mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any cornstarch lumps and allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Pour mixture into your popsicle mold, leaving about 1/2-inch of space at the top. Cover, add sticks, and freeze for at least four hours until solid.
  • Run mold under warm water to loosen popsicles and gently remove from mold. Enjoy!

FRESH GRAPE POPS

Fresh Grape Pops image

Provided by Food Network

Yield 4-8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 1/2 cups California red, green or blue-blackseedless grapes
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
food coloring (optional)
2 cups California red or blue-blackseedless grapes, halved (optional)

Steps:

  • Blend red, green or blue-black grapes in a food processor until a smooth, frothy liquid forms. With a plastic spatula, press mixture through a fine strainer into a mixing bowl. Discard skins and skim foam off the top. Whisk sugar into juice until dissolved. Add a few drops of red, green or purple food coloring if desired.
  • To make juice pops, fill molds or 5-ounce paper cups with juice, spooning most of the foam off the top. If using cups, cover each cup with foil and insert a wooden stick in the center of the foil. If adding grapes to pops, place approximately 1/4 cup halved grapes into each mold. Pour juice into molds, spooning most of the foam off the top. Place molds or cups in freezer and chill until frozen. To remove bars from cups, take off foil and tear away paper.
