Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Melt butter in microwave.
- Add the cocoa and stir.
- In medium bowl beat eggs until frothy.
- Add sugar, flour, and salt (also nuts if you are using them).
- Pour cocoa mixture over egg mixture and stir all together.
- Put into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
- For a doubled recipe use a 9 x 13 pan.
- Icing, recipe below.
- Icing for Best Ever Brownies:
- 1 1/3 cup icing sugar.
- 1/3 cup cocoa.
- 3 tbsp butter or margarine.
- 1 tbsp & 2 tsp hot water
- Beat all ingredients together, add more liquid if necessary.
- Spread over brownies.

GRANDMA'S SECRET APPLE BROWNIES!
These apple bars belong smack-dab in the delicious intersection of breakfast and dessert... the two most important meals of the day! We're not sure if these are classified a brownie. To us, they have the texture of a brownie. But they're divine. Once baked, a sugary crust forms on top. There are bits of tender apples and cinnamon in every bite. Yum!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour 9x13 pan.
- Peel and core about 3 to 4 apples. Finely chop apples (you want the pieces small).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk together.
- Add eggs, oil, and orange juice. Mix well. I use a wooden spoon to mix.
- Fold in diced apples (the batter will be thick).
- Spread into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake at 325 for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Eat and enjoy!
