1 package (6 ounces) pork-flavored stuffing mix
8 slices deli ham
1 cup Onion Cheese Sauce

Steps:

  • Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions. Spread 1/4 cup stuffing lengthwise down the center of each slice of ham. (Save remaining stuffing for another use.), Beginning with a long side, roll up. Place in a microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes or until heated through; serve with cheese sauce.

1 package (12 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls, split
1/2 cup spreadable chive and onion cream cheese
1/4 cup butter, melted
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
3 teaspoons dried minced onion
1-1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Place ham and cheese on each roll bottom. Spread cream cheese over tops. Replace tops. Arrange in a single layer in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan., In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; brush over rolls. Cover with foil. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight., Bake, covered, at 350° for 20-23 minutes or until heated through.

8 slices white bread
1/2 pound Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced (20 slices)
1/4 pound ham, thinly sliced (8 slices)
2 bananas, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Top a slice of bread with 2 cheese slices; top with 2 ham slices and another cheese slice. Arrange banana slices on top, and cover with 2 more cheese slices and bread. Repeat to make 4 sandwiches.
  • Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches in skillet until golden on one side. Flip, and cook until cheese has melted and bottom is golden brown. Serve warm.

1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
½ cup margarine, melted
24 dinner rolls
½ pound chopped ham
½ pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine onion flakes, mustard, poppy seeds and margarine.
  • Split each dinner roll. Make a sandwich of the ham and cheese and the dinner rolls. Arrange the sandwiches on a baking sheet. Drizzle the poppy seed mixture over the sandwiches.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese has melted. Serve these sandwiches warm.

Picked up an old banana pamphlet, circa 1956, (very good year btw) at a garage sale. This was a recipe in it that I found interesting. I fixed this for breakfast with scrambled eggs and american fries. Was a really neat and different treat.

4 slices boiled ham, sandwich thickness
prepared mustard
4 firm bananas (yellow or slightly green tipped)
1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups grated sharp American cheese

Steps:

  • For sauce, melt butter in saucepan, add flour and stir until smooth.
  • Stir in milk slowly.
  • Add cheese and cook, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
  • Remove from heat but keep warm.
  • Spread each ham slice lightly with mustard.
  • Peel each banana.
  • Wrap a slice of ham around each banana, mustard side to the banana.
  • Bruch tips of bananas with melted butter.
  • Place rolls in a greased shallow baking dish.
  • Pour prepared cheese sauce over all.
  • Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bananas are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
  • Serve hot with the cheese sauce from the dish.

2 packages dainty dinner rolls (in aluminum pans)
8 ounces sliced ham
8 ounces swiss cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon onion flakes

Steps:

  • Slice top half off rolls while rolls are still attached to each other.
  • Set aside top half.
  • Layer bottom half with ham, then with cheese, covering to edges.
  • Replace top half and place on cutting board.
  • Using sharp knife, slice down through individual rolls.
  • Place in glass baking just large enough to hold both packages without crowding together.
  • Melt the stick of margarine in saucepan; add poppy seed, Worcestershire sauce, prepared mustard, and onion flakes.
  • Stir and pour over top of rolls.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
