Provided by Vered DeLeeuw

Categories     Main Course

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or a gluten-free alternative )
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
Avocado oil spray
4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
4 tablespoons thinly sliced scallions (green part only)

Steps:

  • Heat your broiler on high and position a rack 3-4 inches below the heating element (top rack). Line a large rimmed broiler-safe baking sheet with foil and spray it with oil. Place the salmon pieces on the foil and spray them with oil.
  • In a small saucepan, whisk together the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the honey, hot sauce, minced garlic and minced ginger, whisking to combine.
  • Heat the glaze over medium-low heat, whisking often, for 2-3 minutes, until it thickens into a syrup. Remove from heat.
  • Broil the salmon until opaque and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the cooked salmon fillets onto a serving platter. Brush them with the glaze, sprinkle them with scallions, and serve.

The best and easiest way to make salmon in foil - and you won't believe how much flavor is packed right in!

Provided by Chungah Rhee

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon Sriracha, optional
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 pounds salmon
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, Sriracha and pepper, to taste. Place salmon onto the prepared baking sheet and fold up all 4 sides of the foil. Spoon the honey mixture over the salmon. Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, covering completely and sealing the packet closed. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

HONEY SOY GLAZED SALMON RECIPE BY TASTY

Honey Soy Glazed Salmon Recipe by Tasty image

Two words: honey salmon! Sure, it takes a tiny bit of prep work, but once you marinate your salmon, you won't be able to go back. A simple mix of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger coats and flavors your fish for 30 minutes before you throw it on the pan until the outside is perfectly crispy. Once that's done, you heat up and reduce some extra marinade to make a thick, to-die-for glaze to pour over your filet. Serve with your favorite veggies or rice and enjoy!

Categories     Dinner

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 oz skinless salmon
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ginger, minced
½ teaspoon red pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
⅓ cup less sodium soy sauce
⅓ cup honey

Steps:

  • Place salmon in a sealable bag or medium bowl.
  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix marinade ingredients.
  • Pour half of the marinade on the salmon. Save the other half for later.
  • Let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a medium pan, heat oil. Add salmon to the pan, but discard the used marinade. Cook salmon on one side for about 2-3 minutes, then flip over and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove salmon from pan. Pour in remaining marinade and reduce.
  • Serve the salmon with sauce and a side of veggies. We used broccoli.
  • Enjoy!

  • Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking dish large enough to hold the salmon in an even layer (such as a 9x13-inch baking dish) with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • While the oven heats, combine the honey, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn the heat to medium low and simmer, stirring often, until thickened but still pourable, about 3 minutes. The mixture will bubble up as it heats. Let cool 3 minutes.
  • With paper towels, pat the salmon fillets dry. Arrange the fillets evenly in the pan, ensuring that they are not overcrowded.
