I tried this honey-glazed pork chop recipe and my family loved it. It was a nice change from fried and regular baked chops. It's a new family favorite.

1 serving nonstick cooking spray
4 bone-in pork loin chops
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with cooking spray. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Coat a skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Add chops to the hot skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  • While the chops are browning, combine brown sugar and honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high until brown sugar has softened or melted, about 20 seconds. Stir to combine.
  • Transfer browned chops to the prepared baking dish and spoon 1/2 of the honey glaze evenly over top.
  • Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, turn over, and spread the remaining honey glaze over top. Bake until no longer pink in the center, 15 to 20 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Honey Pork Chops and Apples image

A great meal for a cooler night. Make sure your chops are thicker, at least 3/4-inch. Prep time depends on the thickness of your chops.

6 pork loin chops, about 3/4-in . thick each
salt and pepper
ground sage
2 granny smith apples
1 tablespoon unsalted margarine
1/4 cup raw honey
6 maraschino cherries (optional)

Steps:

  • Core and slice apples into 1/2-inch rings.
  • Add margarine to skillet and saute apple rings until crisp-tender.
  • Remove apple rings from skillet and brown chops slowly in skillet.
  • Remove chops to shallow baking dish and season with salt, pepper and sage. Place 1 apple ring on each chop.
  • Cover and bake at 300° F for 30 minutes.
  • Drizzle honey over apples and chops; baste with drippings.
  • Cover and bake 15 minute longer or until pork is fully cooked. Place cherry in center of apple rings before serving, if desired.

4 boneless pork loin chops
1 1/2 cups apple juice or 1 1/2 cups apple cider
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 garlic clove, minced

Steps:

  • Place chops in a shallow dish.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour marinade over chops.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  • Remove chops from marinade.
  • Place on grill, approximately six inches from medium-hot coals.
  • Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning once and basting with remaining marinade.
  • Discard remaining marinade when meat is grilled.

2 cloves garlic, minced
4 teaspoons sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce
Freshly ground medium-grind black pepper
Six 1/3-inch-thick bone-in pork loin chops (about 1 3/4 pounds)
1 tart red apple
1 small head savoy cabbage, quartered, large ribs removed, finely sliced (about 6 cups)
Zest and juice of 2 limes
One 2-inch knob fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated
1 to 2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed oil
Kosher salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Put the garlic, sugar, soy sauce and 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper in a large self-sealing plastic bag, seal and shake. Add the pork chops and rub them, through the bag, to work the spices into the meat. Marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Julienne the apple, leaving the skin on. Toss the apples with the cabbage, lime zest, lime juice and ginger in a medium bowl. Drizzle in the honey and sesame oil and toss again. Season with salt and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add half the chops, shaking off the excess marinade, and cook, turning once, until just cooked through, about 6 minutes. Repeat with the remaining oil and chops, wiping the skillet clean between batches. Serve with the slaw.

1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup honey

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 cup prepared mustard
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed

6 boneless pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick and 4 ounces each)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Pour 1 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add pork chops. Seal bag turn to coat; refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Set aside 1/2 cup of the remaining marinade for basting and 3/4 cup for serving; cover and refrigerate., Drain and discard marinade. Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack.
