2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
Salt
1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese (4 ounces)
5 large egg yolks, plus 1 large egg
2 cups heavy cream
Boiling water, for baking dish
Garnish: Crisped Prosciutto

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and 1 1/4 teaspoons salt until smooth. Cook, whisking occasionally, until mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from heat, and add cheese. Whisk until smooth.
  • Whisk together egg yolks and egg in a medium bowl. Bring cream to a gentle simmer in a small saucepan. Gradually whisk hot cream into eggs. Whisk cream mixture into cheese mixture.
  • Divide custard evenly (about 1/4 cup each) among 16 eggcups or small ramekins. Place cups in a large baking dish or roasting pan. Add enough boiling water to come halfway up the sides of cups. Bake until set, about 25 minutes. Remove from water bath, and let cool. Garnish with crisped prosciutto.

You see, the timing was perfect, because Humpty was just ready to hatch anyway, Since Humpty was an orphan, some kind-hearted poultry farmer raised Humpty to maturity, and then killed, plucked, and ground Humpty. This is a great recipe for ground fully-grown egg.

12 ounces ground chicken breast (or fully-grown Humpty)
1/4 cup unseasoned breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickle
1 tablespoon fresh dill or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill

Steps:

  • Mix all the sauce ingredients thoroughly, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Mix the ground Humpty, breadcrumbs, dill and thyme well and make into patties.
  • Grill, broil or fry until desired doneness.
  • Pour the sauce over the Humpty Dumpty burgers and enjoy.

  • In a small bowl, beat the egg, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and salt if desired until blended. Pour into two ungreased 6-oz. custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. , Place cups in a 9-in. square baking pan. Fill pan with hot water to a depth of 1 in. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a 1-qt. microwave-safe dish, heat the milk, uncovered, on high for 3 minutes or until hot (do not boil). With an electric mixer, beat in sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla. Pour into six ungreased 4-oz. microwave-safe custard cups. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 3-1/2-4-1/2 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.

1 (1 pound) loaf unsliced Italian bread
⅓ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup sweet pickle relish
4 teaspoons prepared mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
1 pinch pepper
4 large eggs hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced fully cooked ham
3 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Slice off the top third of the loaf; set top aside. Hollow out the bottom of the loaf, leaving a 1-in. shell. Crumble part of the removed bread to measure 3/4 cup; set aside. (Discard remaining bread or save for another use.) In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, relish, mustard, garlic and pepper. stir in eggs, celery, ham, onion and reserved bread. Stuff loaf; replace top. To serve immediately, cut into 4-in. pieces. To serve hot, brush with butter; wrap in foil. Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes.
