IMPOSSIBLY EASY PIZZA PIE FOR A CROWD

Impossibly Easy Pizza Pie for a Crowd image

Another of the Bisquick Impossible Pie recipes with my own special spin on it. This ended up tasting so much like "pizza in a casserole". It's definitely one of my favorites. This casserole tastes just like a cheese pizza from your favorite pizza parlor.

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lb ground beef or ground turkey
1 can(s) tomato sauce (14.5 ounce)
1 can(s) diced tomatoes (flavored with garlic, basil and oregano)
1 c bisquick

4 eggs, beaten
2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
dried oregano (optional)
fresh basil (cut into thin strips)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 13" x 9" casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • 2. Brown the meat, drain. Add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, stir to combine, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Spread this mixture in the casserole dish.
  • 3. In a medium bowl, combine the Bisquick, milk, and eggs, whisk to combine thoroughly. Pour the Bisquick mixture carefully over the meat mixture in the casserole dish.
