2 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces blue cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
8 ounces Pimiento Cheese Spread, recipe follows
8 ounces mozzarella, cut into 1-inch cubes
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce
Sliced tomatoes
Grilled sweet onions
Sliced pickles
Two 7-ounce jars canned, sliced pimientos, drained
Three 10-ounce bricks sharp Cheddar, finely grated
1 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Mix the ground beef, salt and pepper in a large bowl and form the mixture into 8 equal-size balls. Press a cube of desired cheese into the center of each ball and cover completely with meat. Form the balls into hamburger patties, about 1/4-inch thick. Grill burgers until desired doneness. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles as desired on a toasted bun.
  • Place the drained pimientos in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Using an electric mixer, combine the pimientos and cheese, beating until smooth. Beat in the mayonnaise.

4 KRAFT Singles, cut into quarters
1 small red onion, sliced
4 hamburger buns, toasted
1 plum tomato, thinly sliced
4 lettuce leaves

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Shape meat into 8 (1/4-inch thick) patties. Top each of 4 patties with 4 Singles pieces; cover with remaining patties. Pinch edges together to seal.
  • Grill burgers and onions 6 to 7 min. on each side or until burgers are done (160ºF) and onions are tender.
  • Fill buns with burgers, onions and remaining ingredients.

½ onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
1 tablespoon dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried parsley
salt and pepper to taste
⅓ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
½ fresh red chile pepper, finely chopped
4 slices pickled jalapeno pepper, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, egg, hot pepper sauce, and bread crumbs. Season with paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, mix the cheese, red chile pepper, and jalapeno pepper. Form the beef mixture into 4 balls, and press a well in the center of each. Stuff with equal amounts of the cheese mixture. Press meat around filling to seal. Arrange on a baking sheet, and press gently into thick patties.
  • Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven, turning once, until well done.

2 pounds ground beef
2 small dill pickles, minced
1 small onion, minced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
8 slices American cheese
1 tablespoon melted butter

Steps:

  • Combine the ground beef, pickles, onion, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the hamburger patties in the hot oil until the burgers are cooked to your desired degree of doneness, 8 to 10 minutes for well done.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and set aside. Cover a flat surface with the flour. Divide the bread dough into 4 even pieces; roll each piece into a flattened rectangle on the floured surface at least twice the size of the American cheese slices. Place one slice of American cheese on each piece of dough; top each with one of the cooked patties and another slice of American cheese. Fold the dough over the top of the meat and cheese. Pinch the dough around the edges to seal completely. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side facing downward. Brush the tops with the melted butter; move to a warm area and allow to rise for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat an oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the bread has browned, about 20 minutes.

8 ounces ground beef
1 ounce shredded Cheddar
1 ounce cooked bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons canola or olive oil
1 hamburger bun, optional

Steps:

  • Divide ground beef into approximately 2 equal portions. Set aside. Line a round mold, such as the lid to a peanut butter jar, with plastic wrap. Pat half of the ground beef into the round mold. Layer with cheese and bacon, being careful not to go too close to the edges. Cover with other half of the ground beef. Press together the edges of ground beef together to seal. Remove the patty from the mold.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet or over high heat. Cook the patty to desired doneness. Serve plain or on a bun, as desired.

1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/4 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
2 hamburger buns, split
Optional: Lettuce leaves and tomato slices

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 4 thin patties. Sprinkle cheese over 2 patties; top with remaining patties and press edges firmly to seal. , Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat 5-6 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. Serve on buns, with lettuce and tomato if desired.

2 pounds ground beef
2 teaspoons garlic powder, divided
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
6 slices provolone cheese
6 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 jar (14 ounces) spaghetti sauce, warmed

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine beef and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Shape into six thin patties. Pan-fry until no longer pink. Meanwhile, cut bread in half lengthwise. Combine butter and remaining garlic powder; spread over cut sides of bread. On the bottom half, layer provolone cheese, beef patties and the mozzarella cheese. Replace bread top. Wrap in a large piece of heavy-duty foil (about 28 in. x 18 in.). Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwich is heated through. Cut loaf between each patty. Serve with spaghetti sauce for dipping.

Steps:

  • Remove your grill pan and turn the grill on to its highest setting. Put the mince in a bowl and break it up with a fork, add the soy sauce, herbs and two twists of black pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide into four burgers. Cut the cheese into four cubes and press a cube into the middle of each burger. Push the mince over to cover the cheese.
  • Use a paper towel to wipe sunflower oil over the rack of your grill pan. Place the burgers on the grill pan and cook for seven minutes, changing the grill setting to medium. Then flip the burgers over with a fish slice and cook for a further seven minutes making sure they do not go too brown. Medium cooked burgers will feel springy and well done ones will feel firm.
  • Serve in a seeded bun with chips and salad.

2 tbsp olive oil
2 leeks , sliced
200g mushroom , sliced
2 large carrots , peeled and coarsely grated
1 tbsp seasoning , we used Schwartz Moroccan
1 tbsp soy sauce
300g can bean , try kidney or pinto, drained and rinsed
100g cheddar , coarsely grated
200g (about 4 slices) granary bread torn into pieces
burger buns , lettuce, tomato and other favourites, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a shallow saucepan over a medium flame. Tip in vegetables, seasoning and soy sauce, then cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 mins until soft. Tip veg into a food processor with the beans, cheese and bread, season, then pulse to a thick paste.
  • With wet hands, mould mix into 8 burgers. These can be kept in the fridge for 2 days or frozen, stacked between greaseproof sheets for up to 2 months.
  • To cook, heat oil in a frying pan and fry 2-3 mins on each side until crispy. Serve with toasted buns, salad, ketchup and mayo.
