A combination of lean ground beef and apple cider vinegar makes this sloppy Joe recipe slightly sweet and slightly tart, made right there in your Instant Pot®. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add oil and tip pot to coat the entire bottom. Add ground beef, onion, and red bell pepper. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook and stir until vegetables are soft and beef is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
- Add garlic to the pot and cook another 30 seconds. Add vinegar. Stir in water, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, and red pepper flakes. Add crushed tomatoes and stir well.
- Close and lock the lid and close the vent. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 5 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
- Meanwhile, toast hamburger buns and coat with butter.
- Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions for 10 minutes. Release remaining pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
- Serve on toasted buns.

- In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the sauce ingredients, set aside.
- Spray the bottom of your Instant Pot with olive oil cooking spray. Turn on saute function and add the peppers, onions and ground turkey. Season with a little salt and pepper. Use a spatula to break up the meat.
- Once the meat is broken up (it doesn't have to be cooked at all, it'll cook while under pressure), stir in all of the barbecue sauce, lock the lid in place and set to manual for 2 minutes. When it's finished, quick release the pressure and give it a stir. If it's too liquid-y, turn saute function back on and let the liquid cook out a bit (I didn't have to do this, but letting you know just in case!) and serve on whatever you like!
- Heat a large non-stick skillet to medium heat, then add the peppers, onions and ground turkey. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Break up the ground turkey and continue to cook until turkey is cooked through. Stir in the sauce and heat through, check seasoning and add a little salt and/or pepper if necessary (I like a lot of pepper in mine!).
- Serve with sandwich thins, buns, bread, 1/2 pitas or lettuce leaves - whatever floats your boat!

- Prepare Pressure Cooker: Heat up your pressure cooker over medium high heat (Instant Pot: press Sauté button and Adjust button once to Sauté More function). Ensure your pot is as hot as it can be (Instant Pot: wait until indicator says HOT).
- Brown Ground Beef: Season ground beef generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil in pressure cooker. Ensure to coat oil over whole bottom of the pot.Add ground beef in pressure cooker. The ground beef will begin to release moisture. At the 5-minute mark, drain & discard the ground beef juice.Allow ground beef to brown. Stir occasionally until they are slightly crisped and browned (~5 – 7 minutes).
- Saute Vegetables: Add diced onion to browned beef and saute for 2 minutes. Add in diced bell pepper and minced garlic, then saute until fragrant (roughly a minute).
- Deglaze: Add 1 tbsp (12.5g) brown sugar, 1 tbsp (15ml) regular soy sauce, 1 tbsp (15ml) Worcestershire sauce, and ½ cup (125ml) water, then fully deglaze bottom of the pot by scrubbing all the flavorful brown bits with a wooden spoon. Mix the brown bits with the liquid mixture.

- Add the ground beef and diced onions to the Instant Pot Bowl, brown the meat by pressing the Instant Pot's saute button. Saute until the meat is fully cooked.
- Once the meat is fully browned, add the ketchup, BBQ sauce, and Ancho Chili Powder. Mix well, then add your lid, set the manual high pressure for 10 minutes. When the time is up do a quick release.
