JIM'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE
This is not your typical spaghetti sauce! The recipe comes from my grandma, and is an old family favorite. We also like to use any leftover sauce as hot dog sauce. Very meaty, very comforting. Makes a large pot, for a small gathering the recipe can be divided in half. Leftover sauce also freezes well.

Steps:
- Put all ingredients (raw) in large pot, stirring often to break up hamburger. Cook over low heat for three hours, uncovered. Add water as needed and remove bay leaves before serving.
- Serve over hot spaghetti.

- Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic, onion, and carrots. Cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent and the carrot has softened, about 5 minutes. Scrape into a blender, and add the habanero peppers, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, and vinegar. Blend until smooth and pour back into the saucepan.n
- Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat and cook 3 to 5 minutes. Set aside until cool; pour into a bottle and refrigerate.n
