Keto Fried Chicken Wings image

Prepare the best keto fried chicken recipe that is as good as the classic one. It is flavourful, easy and extra crunchy and served in no time.

12 chicken wings (whole wings)
4 cloves garlic (peeled)
50 ml hot sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tbsp celery salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili pepper
1 pinch Stevia (optional)
2 tbsp coconut flour (for coating, optional)
olive oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Smash together the paprika, pepper, garlic, salt, hot pepper, hot sauce, and vinegar, sweetener, and lemon juice with a mortar.
  • Marinate the chicken wings with mixed spices. Chill in the fridge for an hour while flipping the wings occasionally.
  • Transfer the wings to a plate and coat with coconut flour all over to cover the entire sides. This is an optional step. If you don't want to 'bread' your wings, simply just fry the marinated wings.
  • If you use a deep fryer, pour the oil in a deep fryer and set at 375°F. Deep fry the chicken until it's cooked and golden. If you're using a regular frying pan, add oil in and cook over medium heat. Brown the wings in the oil for around 10-15 minutes until golden.
  • Remove from the heat once the wings turn brown on the sides. Serve on a platter.
  • Note: To accompany the chicken wings, you can serve with finely chopped white cabbage, purple cabbage, and onion and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and vinegar to taste.

4 lbs Whole Chicken wings (can use pre-separated drumsticks and flats)
1 tbsp Salt
1+1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1+1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Dried Rosemary
1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
1/4 tsp Dried Basil
1 tsp Dried Oregano

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
  • Add the chicken, oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, basil, and oregano to a bowl.
  • Mix all ingredients well and rub the spices into the chicken skin.
  • Place the chicken onto baking sheets skin side up making sure there is plenty of room in between. Do not over crowd the tray.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, the skin should be very crispy and golden brown. The meat must also be at 165 degrees
  • Remove from the oven and allow the chicken 5 minutes to rest. Using a very sharp knife place the knife into the joints and pull the meat apart as the knife is pressed down. This should break the bone and separate the sections of the wing.

This quick and easy fried chicken recipe is perfect for the keto diet. Chicken breast is pounded thin and breaded in a seasoned almond flour coating and fried in avocado oil.

1 (10 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breast
salt to taste
1 tablespoon blanched almond flour
½ cup blanched almond flour
¼ cup freshly grated Grana Padano cheese
½ teaspoon salt, or as needed
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoon granulated garlic
½ teaspoon paprika
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
¼ cup avocado oil for frying, or as needed
1 lemon, quartered

Steps:

  • Remove chicken breast from the fridge 20 minutes before preparing the dish. Cut into 4 equal portions. Place each chicken piece in between plastic wrap and pound with a meat tenderizer to 1/4-inch thickness. Lightly salt chicken on both sides and dust with 1 tablespoon almond flour.
  • Combine 1/2 cup almond flour, Grana Padano cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika in a shallow bowl. Break egg into a second shallow bowl and whisk in milk. Dip each chicken piece first in egg mixture, shaking off excess, then into the almond mixture, pressing down to insure complete coverage. Place breaded chicken pieces on a plate.
  • Pour enough avocado oil into a large skillet to cover the bottom by a 1/4-inch. Heat over medium-high heat until it shimmers but is not smoking. Carefully lower each piece of chicken into the hot oil and cook for 2 minutes. Turn and cook on the other side until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 2 more minutes. Drain chicken on a paper towel-lined plate and serve with lemon wedges.
