BEN & JERRY'S CREAMY FRESH KIWI ICE CREAM

Steps:

• Peel the kiwifruit either with a vegetable peeler or knife and mash them in a bowl until pureed.
• Stir 2 tablespoons sugar into the fruit, cover, and refrigerate 1 hour.
• Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in 1 cup sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more.
• Pour in the cream and whisk to blend.

CALIFORNIA KIWI CREAM CHEESE ICE CREAM

Steps:

• Scoop out kiwis and puree in a food processor or blender; you should have about 2 cups. Transfer to a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until reduced to about 1 cup, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Steps:

• In a blender, combine the juices and kiwi; cover and process just until smooth. Add sugar substitute and orange zest. Pour into an ungreased 8-in. square dish. Cover and freeze for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until partially set. , Spoon into a large bowl; beat on medium speed for 1-1/2 minutes. Return to pan; freeze for 2-3 hours or until firm. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Spoon into small bowls; garnish with orange and additional kiwi if desired.
