Steps:
- Cook bacon until very crisp at medium heat in medium saucepan.
- Drain bacon on paper towel.
- Remove all but 1 tbsp (15 mL) fat from skillet.
- Stir fry onions in same saucepan until translucent.
- Stir in bacon, soup, milk, and undrained clams; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer covered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Use two separate pots, in one add half&half and heat medium high (do not boil) add corn starch and whisk well.
- Base:In the other pot all at once add water, clam juice, clam base, chardonnay, butter, Italian seasoning, pepper, potatoes, and onions. Cook at medium high until potatoes get soft and then add crab meat (or clams if crab is unavailable)
- Once half&half+corn starch mixture is heated up and thickened, add base and stir. Able to serve right away
- Mix all together and that's it. Spread on bread and toast or add to a steak sandwich. Mom used it for everything

- In large saucepan cook and stir bacon and onion until bacon is crisp and onion is tender.
- Stir in soup and milk.
- Heat through, stirring occasionally.

- Heat thoroughly, serve in soup mugs with slice of lemon and parsley sprig on top.

- Have fish market open clams and reserve juice.
- Separate clams from juice and chop clams coarsely.
- Meanwhile, boil diced potatoes 5 to 10 minutes until done but still firm. Drain and reserve potatoes.
- Saute onion in butter, cooking over low heat until transparent. In a saucepan combine onion, cream, milk and clam juice. Heat until almost boiling.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and chopped clams. Simmer about 3 minutes until clams are just cooked through.
- Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper. Add potatoes and dill. Serve immediately.

- Place the bacon in a large pot and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until crisped and browned, about 10 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings in the pot. Set the bacon aside. Stir the potatoes and carrots into the bacon fat. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour the juice from the clams into the pot, and add enough water to just cover the potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the potatoes are just tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Gently stir the leek soup mix into the potatoes until no lumps of soup remain. Stir in the clams, reserved bacon, and half-and-half cream. Cook and stir until the chowder returns to a simmer and thickens, about 10 minutes more.
