1 pound ground beef
2 cups hot mashed potatoes
4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 cup beef gravy

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet. Meanwhile, mix potatoes, cream cheese, 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese and the garlic until well blended.
  • Drain meat. Return to skillet; stir in vegetables and gravy. Spoon into 9-inch square baking dish; cover with potato mixture and remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
  • Bake 20 min. or until heated through.

1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
Coarse salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheet. Mix all ingredients except egg and coarse salt in medium bowl with fork until soft dough forms. Smooth dough gently into ball on floured board. Knead 10 times. Divide dough in half.
  • Roll half of dough into 12x8-inch rectangle. Cut rectangle lengthwise into eight 1-inch strips. Fold each strip lengthwise in half into 12x1/2-inch strip; pinch edges to seal. Twist each strip into pretzel shape. Place seam down on cookie sheet.
  • Beat egg in small bowl with fork until blended. Brush pretzels with egg. Sprinkle lightly with coarse salt.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Repeat with remaining half of dough.

This is a cheesecake pie recipe for 2 pies. Dust a bit of confectioners' sugar on top before serving.

2 (9 inch) pie shells, baked
3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whip cream cheese until fluffy. Add 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Add eggs. Beat until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Pour mixture into pastry shells.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream and 3 tablespoons sugar. Mix well, then spread half of mixture over each pie.
  • Turn off oven. Place pies in oven for 15 minutes. Remove and chill overnight. Before serving, top each pie with 1 cup of strawberries.

This is a family favorite...we enjoy these on a cold winters night...I always end up making a huge one in my cast iron skillet...Though it never lasts long on our table...A full meal in one with a South Western Flavor...

6 medium potatoes, mashed
3 large eggs, beaten (frothy)
1 cup(s) mexican blend shredded cheese
1 teaspoon(s) parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/4 cup(s) butter and 1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) pepper
TOPPING
2 large egg whites, beaten
1/2 cup(s) mexican blend shredded cheese
MEAT MIXTURE
1 pound(s) ground sirloin
1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 teaspoon(s) chipotle chili seasoning
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/2 cup(s) mexican blend shredded cheese(set aside)
1 can(s) tomatoes, canned fire roasted
1 can(s) corn kernel, whole drained
1 1/8 can(s) green beans french style drained

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375* use a deep skillet (cast Iron) to bake in use skillet or dutch oven or baking pan....
  • Boil potatoes with peel on...drain and mash with eggs, cheese, spices, butter, sour cream...set aside
  • pre pare meat mixture....brown ground sirloin, on medium heat put spices in while browning, add tomatoes, corn, green beans. simmer till bubbling.
  • Layer in pan, meat mixture 1/2 C cheese, potato mixture, egg whites, and remainder of cheese
  • Bake for 30 minutes...serve hot.....

This is one recipe, I stumbled upon accidentally. I was looking for something to prepare differently, and i look in my freezer and say a store bought chicken pot-pie and decided to experiment and make my own....and it tasted better than any one ive ever bought.

1-2 pound(s) boiled chicken or turkey
3 can(s) canned mix vegetables
3-4 can(s) flaky biscuits-store bought
4 can(s) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1/4 slice(s) cheese-velvetta preferred
2 each pinch(es) salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Boil chicken or turkey, til it begin to seperate from bone.Add a pinch of salt & pepper(Note) You may add onion or garlic powder as well.The easiest way is to use boneless chicken breast.
  • While chicken boils, oil your deep dish ot skillet of choice(to be placed in oven. Remove flaky(I PREFER BUTTER FLAKY BISCUITS) biscuits from can and seperate in half place them in the lightly oil dish,place in oven when chicken has started to fall off the bone.
  • in a pot mix cream of chicken or broccoli, strained mixed vegetables,cubbed velvetta cheese,cook on low heat, cover with lid. Remove boiled poultry from stove, pour broth in container keep chicken thats in the bottom of pot,you may need some for later allow poultry to cool,or to touch.
  • while waiting on chicken, place biscuits in oven this will be the bottom crust of your pot-pie,you may place biscuits around your dish(your choice)brown biscuits til done. Now start removing poultry from bone or shredded chicken breast into mixture of soup and vegetables. season to taste,becareful soup and cheese contains salt so don't over do it.
  • Remove biscuits from oven,and begin spooning in you soup& vegetable & poultry mixture on top of browned biscuits once its all in cover the top of mixture with remaining cans of buiscuit, til it is totally covered on top. BAKE FOR 25 to 30 minutes(til buiscuits are brown and fully cooked.
