Lightened Up Turkey Tater Tot Casserole Recipes
TURKEY TATER-TOT CASSEROLE
A quick and easy variation of the classic casserole. By substituting a few things in the recipe, it becomes more nutritious and less fat.

Steps:
- Cook and drain the ground turkey and place it into a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Layer the green beans on top of the ground turkey.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup on top of the green beans.
- Place the sliced cheese in a layer over the top of the soup.
- Scatter the tater tots over the top of the casserole, making sure to cover the surface.
- Cover with a lid and cook at 400°F for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are browned.

I revised the traditional high calorie tater tot casserole that is made with ground beef and lots of cheese. This casserole is made with ground turkey and doesn't include cheese. I also added more veggies!

Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 400.
- Brown ground turkey.
- Add spices as turkey is cooking.
- In skillet add cream of mushroom soup and milk. Mix thoroughly.
- Add peas and carrots and then simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Spray casserole dish with cooking spray, and add turkey mixture to dish.
- Spread tater tots evenly over turkey mixture.
- Bake in 400 degree oven for 45 minutes.

In a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray, layer the meat mixture, vegetables and french-fried onions., In a small bowl, combine soups and milk; spread over onions. Top with Tater Tots. Bake, uncovered, at 350° until golden brown, 55-60 minutes.
