4 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta or thin spaghetti
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
1 package (9 ounces) frozen broccoli cuts, thawed
1/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1-1/4 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
12 ounces imitation crabmeat, cut into 1-inch pieces

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet or wok, stir-fry the onion, green pepper, broccoli and mushrooms in oil for 3-4 minutes or until crisp-tender. , In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, broth, water and soy sauce until smooth. Gradually stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in crab; cook 2-3 minutes longer or until heated through. Drain pasta; toss with crab mixture.

1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 raw cauliflower, sliced
2 fresh garlic cloves, chopped
1/3 head red cabbage, sliced
1 dozen snow peas, washed
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
0.5 (1 1/2 lb) package imitation crabmeat, sliced
olive oil
soy sauce
ginger

Steps:

  • Prepare all fresh veggies and place into individual bowls.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of ground ginger and salt on onions, cauliflower, cabbage, snow peas and tomatoes.
  • Coat bottom of frying pan or wok with olive oil.
  • When oil is hot add onions and sear for 5 minutes on high.
  • Add garlic, cabbage, snow peas and cauliflower.
  • Stir all ingredients together and add soy sauce to taste.
  • Decrease heat and cover pan. Let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Add imitation crab, toss ingredients to mix and cover. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Serve as is or over a bed of white rice.

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
4 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce, divided
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon sugar
4 teaspoons sesame oil
1 package (9 ounces) fresh spinach

Steps:

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and garlic; toss to coat. Marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the hoisin sauce, water, sugar and remaining soy sauce until smooth. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken mixture; stir-fry until no longer pink. Stir in sauce mixture and spinach., Drain noodles; add to skillet and toss to combine. Cook and stir just until spinach is wilted.

3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons honey
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 stalks celery, sliced
2 large carrots, cut into large matchsticks
½ sweet onion, thinly sliced
2 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 12 minutes; drain. Rinse spaghetti with cold water to cool; drain.
  • Whisk soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, honey, and ground ginger together in a bowl.

4 or 5 black, dried mushrooms
1 cup Roast Pork
1/2 cup celery
1 cup chinese cabbage
1/2 cup bamboo shoots
1/2 cup bean sprouts
6 snow peas
2 slices fresh ginger root
1 clove garlic
2 to 3 tablespoons oils
1 tablespoon sherry
1/2 cup Stock, Chicken or favorite stock

Steps:

  • 1. Soak dried mushrooms. 2. Slice roast pork, celery, Chinese cabbage and bamboo shoots. Blanch bean sprouts. Stem snow peas. Shred ginger root and crush garlic. 3. Heat oil. Add ginger root and garlic stir-fry to brown lightly. Add pork and stir-fry a few times. Then stir in sherry to blend. 4. Add all vegetables except snow peas, and stir-fry 1 minute more. 5. Add stock and heat quickly. Then cook, covered, 3 minutes over medium heat. Stir in snow peas. Combine mixture with soft-fried (Chow Mein) or tossed noodles (Lo Mein). VARIATIONS: * For the roast pork, substitute cooked beef, ham, chicken, duck, crabmeat, lobster or shrimp. * In step 3, add with the garlic and ginger root 2 scallion stalks, cut in 1/2-inch sections. * When using the mixture as a topping, as in Soft-Fried Noodles I, thicken at the end of step 5 with a paste made of 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 tablespoon cold water, 3 tablespoons soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon sugar.   • 1. Pick over and flake crabmeat. Blanch bean sprouts. Slice bamboo shoots, mushrooms and onion. 2. Combine soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and sesame oil. 3. Heat remaining oil. Add remaining salt, then onion stir-fry until translucent. Add mushrooms stir-fry to soften. Add crabmeat and stir-fry 1 minute more. 4. Add bean sprouts and bamboo shoots stir-fry to heat through (about 1 minute).
