1/2 box (2 cups dry) macaroni style pasta
1 jar Alfredo pasta sauce
2 cups shredded mild or extra sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 - 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tbsp butter or margarine
Salt & pepper to taste
Pasta sauce

Steps:

  • Cook pasta and drain. In a large skillet, mix Alfredo sauce and cheddar cheese. Heat until melted. Add pasta and toss.
  • Transfer into baking dish and top with 1/4 - 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and melted butter.
  • Broil for 5-8 minutes until topping browns. Season with salt and pepper and top with your favorite pasta sauce.

Easiest Homestyle Macaroni and Cheese image

My family always expects the 'real deal' homemade macaroni and cheese, and this recipe passed the 'family taste test' with flying colors on Easter. However, this time it was much easier to make, using jarred Alfredo sauce instead of homemade white sauce. Try it. It's easy as pie, and FABULOUS!

cooking spray
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 (16 ounce) packages elbow macaroni
2 (15 ounce) jars Alfredo sauce
1 (1 pound) package processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), cubed
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 (16 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
dry bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 10 1/2x13 1/2-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil; stir 1 teaspoon salt and vegetable oil into boiling water. Gradually stir macaroni into the boiling water and cook, stirring occasionally, until macaroni are tender but still slightly firm, about 10 minutes. Drain well and pour macaroni into prepared baking dish.
  • Pour Alfredo sauce into a 3-quart microwave-safe bowl and stir processed cheese into sauce; microwave on 60 percent power for 6 minutes. Stir sauce mixture and microwave for 5 more minutes on 60 percent power. Season with black pepper and paprika. Stir 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese into mixture until cheese has melted and sauce is thick and smooth.
  • Pour half the cheese sauce over macaroni and stir to coat; pour in remaining cheese mixture and stir again. Spread remaining shredded sharp Cheddar cheese over macaroni. Top casserole with bread crumbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the casserole is bubbling, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Broil casserole under oven's broiler for 3 to 4 minutes if you like a browned top. Let macaroni and cheese stand for 10 minutes before serving.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
⅓ onion, chopped
½ (12 ounce) can fully cooked luncheon meat (such as SPAM®), diced
6 ounces macaroni and Parmesan cheese mix
1 tablespoon butter, or more to taste
1 tablespoon heavy cream, or more to taste
1 avocado, diced
1 tomato, diced

Steps:

  • Heat vegetable oil over medium heat in a frying pan. Stir in onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add cooked luncheon meat; cook until crispy and browned, about 5 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain and keep warm.
  • Stir in butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese packet included with pasta box into the pasta until cheese dissolves. Mix in meat and onion. Stir in diced avocado and tomato. Serve.

Ragú® Recipe Contest Entry. Creamy and crispy mac and cheese. Elbow pasta smothered with creamy alfredo sauce, avocado and goat cheese sauce. Top with crispy panko.

3 cups dry elbow macaroni
1 (16 ounce) bottle Ragú® Pasta Sauce (classic alfredo)
2 avocados
2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
black pepper

Steps:

  • Put enough water to cook pasta in a large pot and cook pasta followed by the package directions.
  • While the pasta is cooking, halve each avocado, remove a pit, scoop avocado flesh and mash avocados in a large bowl. Add alfredo sauce and mix to combine.
  • When the pasta has cooked, drain in a colander and return to the pot. Add butter and stir to melt butter. Then add milk and goat cheese. Stir to combine.
  • Put the pasta mixture into the alfredo sauce bowl. Add black pepper to taste. Mix to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Put panko over the top and bake in preheated 400 degrees F oven for 15-18 minutes until top is nicely browned.
