- Directions:.
- Heat the olive oil.
- Add the garlic and give it a few tosses.don't let the garlic brown.
- Add the zest and lemon juice.
- Toss in the spinach and radicchio and cook until just wilted.
- Remove from heat and add the orzo and the rest of the ingredients except the cheese.
- Toss and fluff.
- Now is the time to taste for salt (remember the cheese will add salt as well).
- Sprinkle with cheese to coat.
- Garnish with a sweep of parsley.
- Serve with crusty bread and extra bowls of parmesan.
- You can add shrimp or julienned chicken breast.
- White wine can be subbed for lemon juice.
- This is also great chilled and served as a salad or on a round of Hye Roller spread with herbed cream cheese and rolled then sliced into spirals. Also good in a hollowed out crusty roll layered with a vinaigrette,Fontina or favorite cheese,sliced tomato,ham,turkey,salami,capicola,mortadella etc. for a quasi-Muffaletta.
- You can also toss the leftovers in with some chicken stock,stewed tomatoes,white wine,basil,cabbage,carrots,and more spinach. Garnish with parmesan croustades for a sort of spin on Ribollita.
- 15 mn. prep includes cooking and draining the orzo.

- Cook orzo according to directions on box, about 9 minutes or until al dente. Heat the olive oil on medium heat. Add garlic and stir, making sure to not let the garlic brown. Add the zest and lemon juice. Toss in the spinach and radicchio and cook until just wilted. Remove from heat and add orzo. Mix. Sprinkle with cheese once it is on the plate.
MACARONI GRILL SPINACH ORZO PASTA RECIPE
Steps:
- Cook Orzo as per the directions mentioned on the box.
- In a pan, heat Olive Oil on medium heat. Add Garlic paste and stir it in the oil, but make sure the Garlic doesn't turn brown or get overcooked.
- Now, add Lemon Juice and Lemon Zest to the pan. Toss in Spinach and cook it well.
- Now remove the pan from heat and add Orzo to it. Mix them well.
- Now, take out the Pasta on a serving dish or plate. Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese in the Pasta.

- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook orzo in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 10 to 11 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- Mix orzo, spinach, chicken, tomatoes, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, and capers in a large bowl.
- Whisk balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sugar, parsley, basil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper together in a bowl; drizzle over salad. Toss to coat. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over salad.

ROMANO'S MACARONI GRILL TERIYAKI SALMON WITH SPINACH ORZO
A teriyaki-kissed salmon with rice-sized pasta. Had this the first time in NC and always think of my dad when we have it. I found the recipe at WBIR-10 but some of the ingredients seemed off, so I adjusted them a bit.

Steps:
- ~Salmon~.
- Dip salmon in soy sauce, then the oil and place the salmon on hot grill silver side up.
- Grill salmon evenly until done, approximately 6-7 minutes.
- Ladle 2 oz teriyaki glaze over each salmon fillet while still on the grill.
- ~*Orzo*~.
- Precook 8 ounces dry orzo. In a hot sauté pan, add olive oil and garlic, red bell peppers and hot precooked orzo. Sauté for approximately one minute. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and stir.
- Remove pan from heat and add spinach. Toss for approximately three seconds until spinach is incorporated but is not wilted.
- Place spinach and orzo on plate, then add salmon and additional teriyaki glaze if desired.

- Bring water to the boil and add the broken up macaroni or macaroni elbows and salt. Boil it uncovered until it is just tender but not overcooked (about 8 minutes). Preheat a moderately hot oven 350F, 180C or Gas Mark 4. Drain the macaroni thoroughly, put it back into the same hot saucepan it was cooked in and mix in the butter. Grate the cheese and mix it in with the macaroni a bit at a time, while it is still warm. Whisk the egg until fluffy and add the milk, onion powder, white pepper, salt, pepper sauce and mustard. Pour in with the macaroni and mix. Place in a greased oven proof casserole dish. Top with a little butter, some grated cheese and fine breadcrumbs. Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30-45 minutes depending on the depth of the dish.
