Steps:
- Put berries, sugar and water in a saucepan and boil for about 10 minutes.
- Cool slightly and either put through a food mill or press through a sieve to remove the large seeds. Put into small containers and freeze until use.
- Note: The berries have lots of pectin, especially if you include some under-ripe ones, but if the jam does not thicken enough on cooling, use it as a thick syrup on your toast and scones. It will be delicious either way. In my experience, it is easier to over boil and end up with a jam that is too thick rather than the reverse.
