Make an easy, simple breakfast that you can grab on the go. These Breakfast Sliders are fun to make and delicious to eat!

Number Of Ingredients 9

12 dinner rolls (or Hawaiian rolls)
12 breakfast sausage patties
8 eggs
2 Tablespoons milk
6 Tablespoons butter (divided)
6 slices American cheese
4 slices pepper jack cheese
2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large skillet, brown sausage patties over medium heat. About 4 minutes per side. Set aside.
  • Whisk eggs and milk together in a medium bowl. Melt 2 Tablespoons of butter in the same skillet you used to cook the sausage. Turn the heat to low and add egg mixture. Continuously push eggs from the edges to the center of the skillet until curds form and eggs are cooked through.
  • Without pulling the rolls apart at the seams, carefully slice the entire package in half horizontally.
  • Place the bottom half of the rolls into the bottom of an 11X7 baking dish. Top with American cheese slices in an even layer. Add eggs and spread to cover the entire dish. Top with sausage patties, and finish with pepper jack cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  • In a microwave safe dish, melt remaining butter. Whisk in maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Brush butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls making sure to get it in all the crevices.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Serve warm.

These kid-friendly breakfast sliders can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Filled with egg, cheese and an easy homemade chicken sausage, they are the ideal way to start the day. You can form the sliders using dinner rolls, slider buns or even English muffins.

Nonstick cooking spray
12 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
Kosher salt and ground white pepper
1 1/2 pounds ground chicken
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried sage
Pinch ground nutmeg
Pinch ground cloves
Canola oil, for cooking
Mayonnaise, for spreading, optional
12 dinner rolls or slider buns, split
10 slices sharp Cheddar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch glass or ceramic baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine the eggs, milk, 2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon white pepper in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish and bake until just set, 12 to 15 minutes. Invert onto a large cutting board, then cut into 12 equal squares.
  • Meanwhile, combine the chicken with the garlic powder, onion powder, sage, nutmeg, cloves, 2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon white pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Form the mixture into twelve 1/4-inch-thick patties.
  • Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and swirl to coat the bottom. Cook the patties, in batches if necessary, flipping once, until browned and cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes; transfer to a plate.
  • Spread a very thin layer of mayonnaise, if using, on the bottom buns. Top with the eggs, sausage patties and cheese; close the sliders. To serve right away, warm gently in the oven to melt the cheese. To freeze for later, wrap each slider in foil and transfer to large resealable freezer bags. Freeze for up to 2 weeks.

12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian sweet rolls
9 eggs, scrambled
6 slices ham
6 slices white cheddar cheese
6 strips cooked bacon
3 oz baby spinach
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half in a 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) rimmed baking dish. Spread the eggs evenly over the rolls, then add the ham, cheddar, bacon, and spinach. Top with the remaining rolls.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle the pepper on top. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown. Slice into individual sliders, then serve.
  • Enjoy!
