Barbecue Pork Sandwiches image

Shredded pork is mixed with a homemade barbecue sauce in this hearty sandwich recipe.

Pork
4 pounds boneless pork shoulder roast
1 medium (1 cup) onion, chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1 cup water
Sauce
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
3 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
2 tablespoons country-style Dijon mustard
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Buns
18 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F.
  • Place pork roast in roasting pan. Sprinkle with onion and garlic; add water. Cover; bake 2-2 1/2 hours or until roast shreds easily with fork. Remove from pan. Shred roast into small pieces with forks; discard fat. Keep warm.
  • Combine all sauce ingredients in 4-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes or until sauce comes to a full boil. Reduce heat to low; cook 10 minutes. Stir in shredded pork. Continue cooking 8-10 minutes or until heated through.
  • Serve pork mixture on hamburger buns.

1 LB of Thin Sliced Pork Chops
Guy Fieri's Carolina BBQ Sauce
Salt and Pepper
Markers Mark or any other American Southern Whiskey
Poppy Seed Bun
Cole Slaw

Steps:

  • Use a big knife to cut the fat off of your pork chops and rub salt and pepper generously on both sides Dice the pork chops into small cubes using the same big knife Pour Carolina BBQ Sauce into a bowl, mix in two shots of whiskey and sprinkle additional salt and pepper into the mixture Drop your pork cubes into the mixture and stir around for a minute or two until the cubes are generously coated in the mixture - place the mixture aside for later Scoop the cubes out and drop them into a pre-greased frying pan on medium heat Cook the cubes in the frying pan until they begin to look golden brown - this will probably will take about 5-6 minutes Turn the range to low heat and pour the remaining BBQ + Whiskey mixture into the frying pan Mix up until gooey and place on a toasted poppy seed bun Add desired amount of cole slaw Serve with Salt and Vinegar chips, a Whiskey + Lemonade and enjoy

6 sesame seed buns

Steps:

  • Follow Curly's microwave cooking instructions on package.
  • Remove Curly's cooked tub from your microwave (be careful, it's hot). Place ample servings of delicious Curly's Pulled Pork BBQ on top of your tasty, sesame seed buns.
  • Top Curly's BBQ with your favorite serving of cole slaw.
  • Serve with your favorite sides of chips, pickle or pork-n-beans.

Everytime I make this, everyone begs for the recipe!! I got it out of a "Favorite Brand Name Slow Cooker Magic In Minutes" cook book, but have altered it some. Tastes great with potato salad. I hope you enjoy it!!!

4 lbs boneless pork loin roast, fat trimmed
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup hot sauce
8 large wheat sandwich buns
1 cup ketchup
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons hot sauce

Steps:

  • Place roast on bottom of slow cooker. Combine broth, 1/3 cup each Worcestershire and Frank's Sauce. Pour over roast.
  • Cover and cook on high-heat setting 5 hours, or until roast is tender.
  • Meanwhile, combine ingredients for sauce in large bowl; set aside.
  • Transfer roast to large cutting board. Discard liquid in bottom of slow cooker. Coarsley chop roast, or shred with two forks.
  • Transfer roast back into slow cooker. Stir in sauce.
  • Heat on "keep warm' until ready to serve.
  • Spoon onto large wheat sandwich rolls and enjoy!

1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup steak sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons chili sauce
1 teaspoon ketchup
2 medium onions, sliced
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
16 hoagie rolls, split

Steps:

  • In a dutch oven, bring the pork roast, water and salt to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3 1/3- 4 hours or until the meat is very tender.
  • Remove meat and let stand until cool enough to handle. Discard bone; shred meat with two forks. Skim fat from pan juices.
  • Stir in steak sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, chili sauce, ketchup, and shredded pork. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour.

1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

Steps:

  • Pour can of beef broth into slow cooker, and add boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4 hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, and shred with two forks. It will seem that it's not working right away, but it will.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Transfer the shredded pork to a Dutch oven or iron skillet, and stir in barbeque sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
