MALTED HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX RECIPE

Steps:
- Sift all ingredients (except the salt) into a large bowl. Add the salt and whisk all ingredients until thoroughly combined. Transfer to an airtight container and store until ready to use.
- To prepare, bring 1 cup of hot water or milk just to a simmer. Pour hot liquid into a mug and mix in ¼ cup Hot Chocolate Mix (or to taste).

This is the BEST hot chocolate I've ever had! Using milk definitely makes it creamier. It sure comes in handy working at the race track on some of those cold nights. Adding a little cinnamon doesn't hurt either.

- Mix all ingredients, except the last two optional ones, in a slow cooker.
- Heat on high for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Taste before serving. Depending on cocoa mix you might need to add more liquid. (Be sure to heat any additional liquid in the microwave before adding.).
- Ladle into cups & top with whipped cream/marshmallows if you wish.
