This Homemade Cinnamon Maple Butter is a delightful addition to all your fall baking recipes. Put a generous dollop of it on French toast, slather it on a scone, or spread it on pumpkin bread for a seasonally-inspired flavor upgrade.

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add all the ingredients to a bowl.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip the ingredients together until the mixture is light and fluffy. This should take 5-6 minutes.
  • Transfer the flavored butter to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

1 cup salted butter (softened)
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2- 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a medium size mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip together butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, 1 1/2 cinnamon and vanilla. Taste and adjust cinnamon to taste.
  • Place into an air tight container and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight. You can also roll into a cylinder and wrap in plastic wrap, chilling until firm.
  • Use a small cookie scoop to divide into portions. (Slice into portions with a sharp knife, if chilled as a cylinder.)
  • Enjoy on biscuits, pancakes, waffles, muffins, toast, rolls or bread. Store leftovers chilled for up to 3-5 days.

2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a small pan, heat the maple syrup, crushed red pepper and cinnamon for 5 minutes to let the spices bloom. Take off the heat and let cool.
  • Put the butter into a bowl. Add the maple syrup mixture and vanilla and whisk until uniform. Spread on toast if desired.

You have to try this on waffles, pancakes or toast! If you don't want to use a pound of butter then cut the recipe in half...also, if you are using unsalted butter then add in a pinch of salt.

  • Add in more cinnamon to taste if desired and mix again.
