3/4 cup coconut milk powder
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons ghee, to grease the tray

Steps:

  • Pour water in a pot.
  • Add sugar and allow it to come to boil till the mixture has one thread consistency.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Pour coconut milk powder into this mixture and mix thoroughly and quickly.
  • Spoon out the mixture into a greased tray.
  • While the burfi mixture is still warm, cut it into pieces with a sharp knife. Otherwise, let it cool and then break into pieces. The choice is yours. I prefer to do it while it is still warm.
  • Store in an airtight container for upto a week but I am sure it won't last that long because its quite yum and will be gone in the belly soon :).
  • Enjoy!

1 cup coconut, grated (can use frozen grated coconut)
1 tablespoon ghee
1/4 cup milk
2 -3 tablespoons sugar
cinnamon, 1 tbsp (for taste if needed)

Steps:

  • 1.Take a microwave bowl and add grated coconut and ghee and mix it well.
  • 2.Cook the mixture on high temp for 2 mins stirring eqaully after 1 minute.
  • 3.Add milk, sugar and cinnamon and cook again for 2 mins stirring equally
  • 4.Grease the plate with Ghee and spread the cooked coconut mixture equally.
  • 5.Allow the mixture to set for an hour and then cut into squares and serve(u can also refrigerate to make the mixture set).

  • Now take out the bowl from the microwave and pour milk into it. Mix in sugar and sprinkle powdered cardamom. Add yellow edible food color and mix well. Again set the temperature of microwave to high and heat the mixture for 2 minutes. Give the mixture a stir after one minute is over.
