MOLASSES BANANA BREAD
This wonderfully flavorful banana bread is a real crowd pleaser! It's sweetened with molasses instead of sugar. What a nice variation!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter. Beat in egg, molasses and banana. Mix in whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and walnuts; stir until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.

MOLASSES BANANA BREAD
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, mash bananas
- add in two eggs to bananas and mix well
- stir in molasses
- whisk in dry ingredients (baking soda, baking powder and flour)
- add spices and salt, the end batter kind of looks like peanut butter.
- prepare loaf pan with non-stick spray
- pour batter into the loaf pan
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean)

- In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed).

This is a fabulous recipe for banana bread! This can also be baked in mini loaf pans and it also makes 12 muffins, bake for 20-25 minutes. I also added in some shredded carrots and nuts then baked it in a 9x5-inch loaf pan, for less fat use low-fat yogurt or sour cream

- Set oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl sift together white and whole wheat flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
- In another bowl beat the butter with sugar and molasses for about 2 minutes.
- Add in eggs, beat until combined.
- Add in bananas, sour cream applesauce and vanilla; beat until blended.
- Add in the flour mixture; beat at low speed just until moistened.
- Spoon the batter into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until bread tests done.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

There are a mountain of banana bread recipes out there, but this Molasses Banana Bread with it's dark, caramel undertones, is the only one I make.

- Heat oven and prepare pan. Heat oven to 350°F and arrange a rack in the middle. Grease a 9 x 5 inch baking pan.
- Combine ingredients. Mash together bananas and eggs in a large bowl until almost a puree. Add brown sugar, oil, and molasses and whisk to combine. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, ginger, and salt. Stir together with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon just until combined and all flour is mixed in.
- Bake. Scrape into prepared pan and bake until golden and baked through, about 50-60 minutes. Insert a skewer in the middle, if it comes out clean the bread is ready. Let bread cool on a rack at least 15 minutes before removing from the pan. Cool completely before slicing
