A classic cookie to add to your baking repitoire. It's a peanut butter cookie base with oatmeal, chocolate chips and chocolate candy stirred in.

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini candy-coated chocolate pieces

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter and peanut butter in bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolate pieces.
  • Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Place, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets; flatten balls slightly. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; transfer to cooling rack.

Monster Peanut Butter Cookie Bars might just be the perfect Halloween treat! Chocolate chip cookie base and dotted with Homemade Googley Eyes. The ghoulish feature is the festive green peanut butter cups pressed into the freshly baked cookie bars.

3/4 Cup Butter (Softened)
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Whole Egg
1 Egg Yolk
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
8 Reese's Peanut Butter Frankincups
Candy Googley Eyes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a stand mixer, cream together softened butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  • Blend in egg, egg yolk and vanilla.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
  • With the mixer on low speed slowly pour in flour mixture.
  • Mix on medium low speed just until the flour is just incorporated.
  • Pour in chocolate chips and mix.
  • Press cookie dough evenly on the bottom of the parchment lined dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the center is just cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately press peanut butter cups randomly into the cookie bars. You only need to press gently and make sure they are upside down so the green side is showing.
  • Dot the candy googely eyes over the cookie bars and on the peanut butter cups.
  • Let it cool in the pan for 1 hour.
  • Carefully remove the cookies from the pan by lifting up on the parchment paper.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 bars.
  • Serve.

2 cups oatmeal
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
⅓ cup peanut butter
1 cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces (such as M&M's®)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Stir oatmeal, flour, butter, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumb mixture. Spread remaining mixture into a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until crust is lightly browned, about 12 minutes. Remove crust; leave oven on.
  • Mix sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter together in a bowl. Spread over the baked crust. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture and milk chocolate pieces on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

4 ½ cups rolled oats
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 ½ cups candy-coated milk chocolate pieces (such as M&M's®)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10x15-inch baking pan.
  • Cream white sugar, brown sugar, and butter together in a bowl. Mix in peanut butter and eggs until smooth. Stir in oats, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Add chocolate chips and milk chocolate pieces. Spread in the greased baking pan.

1/2 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
or 1/2 cup Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup Jif® Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
2 large eggs
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
1 cup miniature or regular colorful candy coated chocolate pieces
2 tsps. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups quick rolled oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup flaked coconut (optional)

Steps:

  • HEAT oven to 350 degrees F. Beat shortening, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, eggs and water; mix well.
  • COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Stir in oats. Gradually add to peanut butter mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. candy coated chocolate pieces and coconut. Cover and chill 30 minutes.
  • DROP by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten to 2-inch circles. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown around edges. Cool 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
  • VARIATION
  • JUMBO PEANUT BUTTER MONSTER COOKIES: Prepare cookie dough as directed above. Drop by 1/4-cupfuls, 3 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten to 3-inch circles. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until light brown around edges. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.

¼ cup peanut butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Butter a 9x13-inch baking pan.
