Purple jelly beans are the secret to this ghoulish cocktail's unique color and taste.

Ingredients

10 purple jelly beans
1/2 cup vodka
1 cup orange juice, chilled

Steps:

Into glass container, place jelly beans and vodka. Refrigerate until vodka has turned desired shade of purple and vodka is chilled, about 45 minutes. Remove and discard jelly beans.
To make cocktails, into each of 2 champagne glasses, pour 1/2 cup orange juice.
Place long-handled teaspoon into 1 glass so that it's touching the side like a ramp. Slowly pour vodka over spoon into glass. Repeat with second glass.

Ingredients

6 center-cut beef marrow bones, about 3-inches long
Salt
6 Yukon gold potatoes, skin on
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped
Freshly ground pepper

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Place the bones, cut-side up, onto a baking sheet and cook the marrow until soft and slightly separating from the bone, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil salted water for potatoes and let them cook until soft, about 25 minutes.
Remove the marrow bones and keep aside. Drain the potatoes and add the melted butter and cream. Mash until smooth. Using a spoon, scoop out the marrow with the juices and add to the mash. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.

6 medium potatoes, peeled
1 large green onion, or
1 bunch spring onion
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon prepared English mustard
1/2 cup buttermilk
salt

Steps:

Chop onions (including green )tops very finely.
Add vinegar to chopped onion and marinate 30 minutes.
Combine buttermilk and mustard, heat and mix well.
Add chopped onion to mustard mixture and allow to steep while boiling potatoes.
Boil potatoes in salt water as usual for mash.
Mash potatoes, and mix in mustard-onion mixture.
Season with salt to taste and serve.
