2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F.
  • Stir all ingredients until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Turn onto surface dusted with Bisquick mix. Roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2-inch cutter dipped in Bisquick mix. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

75g wholemeal flour
1 tsp baking powder
75g porridge oats
50g caster sugar
75g butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp milk

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
  • Sift the flour into a bowl. Mix in the baking powder, porridge oats and sugar.
  • Melt the butter, syrup and milk in a small saucepan or in the microwave and stir.
  • Add to the dry ingredients. Mix until the liquid covers all the oat mixture and until well combined.
  • Spoon onto a baking tray and shape into rounds, leaving space between each biscuit as they will spread whilst cooking.
  • Bake for 10-15 mins, or until golden brown. Leave to cool for 5 mins before removing from tray.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in oats and nuts until just blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.   • In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons salted butter, cut into small pieces, room temperature
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together flour and oatmeal. Add butter and sugar; using your hands mix until it comes together and forms a dough. Form dough into a disk and cover with plastic wrap; transfer to refrigerator until chilled, 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Line two baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper. Roll out dough on a floured work surface to 1/8-inch thick. Using a 1 3/4-inch round cutter, cut out biscuits; transfer to prepared baking sheets, spacing 1 inch apart. Continue rerolling scraps and cutting out biscuits. Transfer baking sheets to refrigerator; let biscuits chill 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and line 2 baking sheets with parchment.
  • Stir together oats, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a stand mixer or in large bowl with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until combined well. Add flour mixture and beat until just combined.
  • Drop dough by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets and flatten mounds slightly with moistened fingers.
