Categories     Entree     Main Course

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 15

3 cups water
15 oz can tomato sauce
1/3 cup chopped dill pickles (plus more for garnishing, if desired)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp ground dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 lb lean ground beef (I use 85/15 or 90/10)
3 cups dried, uncooked elbow macaroni pasta ((about 12 oz))
6 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
6-7 slices American cheese
1/3 cup yellow onion, finely diced ((optional))
minced fresh parsley, for garnish ((optional))

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 475 F degrees. Lightly spray a 9x13" casserole dish (or other oven safe 3 qt baking pan) with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • To a large mixing bowl, add water, tomato sauce, pickles, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Whisk to combine well.
  • Using your fingers (I like to wear gloves for this part), crumble beef into small 1/2" pieces and add them to the mixing bowl. Add in dried macaroni and stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish, cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove dish from the oven, remove foil, and stir well (don't forget the bottom of the dish and the sides too!). Top pasta with American cheese slices and crumbled bacon.
  • Leave UNcovered and return to oven to bake another 5-7 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  • Let dish cool 5-10 minutes before serving. Top with finely minced onion, chopped pickles and/or fresh parsley if desired.

PRETZEL SNAPS AND BACON BAKED BRIE RECIPE BY TASTY

Pretzel Snaps And Bacon Baked Brie Recipe by Tasty image

Gooey baked Brie and crispy bacon pieces are layered atop a Snyder's of Hanover® Pretzel Snap, then sandwiched with another Snyder's Pretzel Snap on top, drizzled with honey, and garnished with an optional small sprig of thyme for fragrance and a pop of greenery. The bacon is cut to size prior to cooking so the rectangles stay intact.

Provided by Snyder's of Hanover®

Categories     Snacks

Time 25m

Yield 12 bites

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 strips bacon
24 Snyder's of hanover® pretzel snaps
6 oz brie cheese, with rind
¼ cup honey
12 small sprigs fresh thyme, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Using scissors or a knife, cut each strip of bacon crosswise into 4-5 small rectangles. Arrange the slices on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bacon reaches your desired crispiness, being careful not to burn it. Transfer the bacon to a wire rack to cool, blotting with a paper towel to remove excess grease before using. Leave the oven on.
  • Slice the Brie into ½-inch-thick planks, then slice into 1-inch-wide squares for a total of 12 squares.
  • Place 12 Snyder's Pretzel Snaps on the remaining prepared baking sheet. Top each pretzel with one cooked bacon slice, then a square of Brie, then one more bacon slice, then top each with another pretzel.
  • Bake the bites for 2-3 minutes, until the Brie is warm and softened, but not completely melted; keep a close eye to avoid over-melting the cheese. Remove from the oven.
  • Drizzle the bites with honey, then garnish each with an optional small sprig of thyme.
  • Serve warm.
  • Enjoy!

EASY NO BOIL PASTA BAKE

Easy No Boil Pasta Bake image

Campbell's used to make a jarred pasta bake sauce that I loved when my kids were little and time was short! When it was discontinued I discovered that the same recipe could be used with any jarred pasta sauce. My oldest son, who is away at college, asked me for some easy recipes that he can make with minimal mess and time and this recipe popped into my head... I thought I'd post it since I couldn't find any others like it on Zaar.
