BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA TACOS RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: chicken breasts, salt, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, barbecue sauce, honey, oil, shredded cheese blend, bacon, red onion, fresh parsley, small tortillas

2 chicken breasts
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup barbecue sauce
¼ cup honey
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup shredded cheese blend
8 strips bacon, cooked, finely chopped
½ red onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
15 small tortillas

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into ¾-inch (2 cm) cubes and transfer to a medium bowl. Add the salt, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, barbecue sauce, and honey, and mix with your hands until the chicken is well-coated.
  • Heat the oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes, or until golden and charred on the edges. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Place the tortillas side by side on the baking sheet with the edges overlapping slightly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese, red onion, bacon, cooked chicken, and parsley evenly over the tortillas.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Serve warm.

These pizza tacos are brimming with pizza flavors inside a taco shell! It's oven-baked to crispy perfection and takes only less than an hour to make.

2 tsp olive oil
1 lb boneless, skinless, diced into 1-inch pieces chicken thighs
2 tsp minced garlic
⅓ cup barbecue sauce
½ tsp to season salt
10 stand and stuff Taco Shells
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
⅓ (capsicum), deseeded, thinly sliced green bell pepper
¼ thinly sliced red onion
¼ cup sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp sliced Olives
or seasoning Italian pizza topper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking oil spray. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet or pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add the chicken, then sear until golden and crisp. Add the garlic, then fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the barbecue sauce, then salt to season. Cook until the chicken is coated and glossy, and the sauce slightly thickens. Turn off the heat.
  • To Assemble:
  • Arrange the taco shells in the baking dish, then sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese into each taco shell.
  • Spoon about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture into each shell on top of the cheese until all the chicken is used.
  • Top with green pepper slices, onion slices, mushrooms, and olives.
  • Top the shells with the remaining cheese, then sprinkle with the seasoning.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted through.
  • Serve with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or condiments of choice, and enjoy!

These cheese- and bean-stuffed tacos are our new favorite way to turn a rotisserie chicken into a super-easy dinner that serves up to 10.

1 package (4.7 oz) Old El Paso™ Stand 'N Stuff™ taco shells
2 1/2 cups shredded deli rotisserie chicken
1 package (0.85 oz) Old El Paso™ chicken taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
1 can (4.5 oz) Old El Paso™ chopped green chiles
1 can (16 oz) Old El Paso™ refried beans
1 1/4 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (5 oz)
Diced avocado, chopped tomato, green onions, shredded lettuce, salsa and sour cream, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Place taco shells standing up and together in dish; set aside.
  • In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook chicken, taco seasoning mix, water and chiles over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until chicken is heated through. Remove from heat.
  • To assemble, spread about 2 tablespoons refried beans in bottom of each shell. Top each with heaping 1/4 cup chicken mixture and 2 tablespoons shredded cheese. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with remaining ingredients, if desired.
