1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 pkg. (17-1/4 oz.) frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet), thawed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended.
  • Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll into 15x12-inch rectangle. Cut into 20 (3-inch) squares. Press 1 square onto bottom and up side of each of 20 medium muffin cups. Fill each with 1 Tbsp. of the chocolate mixture.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Remove from muffin pans. Cool on wire racks. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons flour

Steps:

  • Thaw puff pastry at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400*F.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat, stirring until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Stir in the sugar, then the eggs and vanilla, then the flour.
  • Unfold the pastry on a lightly floured surface; roll into a 15x12" rectangle.
  • Cut into 20 3" squares; press 1 square into the bottom of each 3" muffin cups.
  • Spoon 1 tablespoons brownie batter into the center of each pastry square.

20 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Combine brownie mix, oil, egg and water in a large bowl. Stir 50 strokes with a spoon.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Chop the chocolate into chunks. Melt half of the chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, saving the other half for later.

1 3/4 cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
4 eggs

  • Line muffin tins with paper baking cups.

8 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup butter
5 eggs
3 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 ¼ cups white sugar
1 cup heavy cream
5 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
½ cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan. Place 8 ounces of baking chocolate with 1 cup of butter in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on High until the chocolate is soft and the butter has melted, about 2 minutes. Stir to mix.
  • Place the eggs, 3 cups of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract in a large bowl, and beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 2 minutes. Reduce the mixer speed to low, and beat in the melted butter-chocolate mixture. Beat in the flour until just combined (do not overmix), and stir in the chopped walnuts. Spread the batter in the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs, about 35 minutes. Cool in the pan before frosting.
  • To make frosting, combine 1 1/4 cup of sugar with the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat, and stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer, about 3 minutes. Reduce the heat to low, and let the mixture simmer for 7 minutes without stirring.
  • Remove the cream mixture from the heat, and stir in 5 ounces of baking chocolate and 1/2 cup butter, stirring to melt and blend the chocolate. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; whisk until smooth. Place the frosting in the refrigerator and stir every few minutes until the frosting is chilled and thick, about 30 minutes. Frost the cooled brownies, and cut into squares.
