8 ounces butter, melted
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix butter, flour and sour cream until JUST blended. Do Not Over mix.
  • Pour batter into muffin tins, 2/3 the way full to allow for biscuits to rise.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.

2 cups baking biscuit mix
½ cup sour cream
½ cup 7-Up
¼ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450˚F.
  • Cut sour cream into biscuit mix, add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.
  • Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out into a 9-inch square.
  • Using a 3-inch biscuit cutter, cut dough into 9 biscuits.
  • Melt ¼ cup butter in a 9-inch square pan.
  • Place cut biscuits in pan and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Brush baked biscuits with melted butter, if desired. Eat and enjoy!
