HONEY PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE TREATS
Marshmallow-free cereal treat bars made using honey and peanut butter are crispy and chewy and easy to make.

Steps:
- Grease your pan with butter or baking spray.
- Pour the cereal into a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the honey into your saucepan and set over medium heat.
- Bring to a rolling boil then allow it to boil for one minute.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and pinch of salt.
- Pour over top of the cereal and stir until well combined.
- Spread into the prepared pan and press down gently.
- Set aside for at least 1 hour until the bars feel firm.
- Cut into 16 squares.

- In a large glass bowl, pour in 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal, and set aside.
- Add 1/2 cup honey to a small sauce pot, and turn the heat to medium.Heat the honey to a boil and allow to boil for one minute.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter. Stirring until thoroughly incorporated.
- Pour the honey and peanut butter mixture over the Rice Krispies.
- Stir until all the Rice Krispies are coated.
- Pour the mixture into a parchment lined dish (I used an 11X7 inch), making sure to press firmly together.
- Place your dish into the freezer for 10 minutes. This is to allow the bars to set faster, so that you can enjoy quickly!
- Slice into whatever sized bars your heart desires, and enjoy!

- Butter a 9- x 13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, place the Rice Krispies and peanut butter but do not mix just yet. Set aside. In a heavy medium saucepan, heat the honey and sugar just until it is boiling. Immediately remove from heat and pour into the bowl with the cereal and peanut butter. Stir using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula until well combined. Lightly press mixture evenly into prepared baking dish. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips together for 1-2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds or until melted and smooth. Spread evenly over the Rice Krispies. Allow to set at room temperature for several hours or until the bars have hardened. Slice into approximately 30 small bars. Store leftovers in a covered container between sheets of waxed paper for up to 7 days.

- In a medium sauce pan, mix together sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup. Be careful not to let it burn, or it will ruin the recipe. Stir mixture until well melted. Remove pan from heat.
- Combine warm peanut butter mixture with crisp rice cereal.
- Grease well a 9 x 13 inch pan with butter or margarine. Spread mixture in pan. Allow to cool. When mixture is no longer sticky to the touch, cut into bars.

- Add the brown rice cereal to the mixture and combine.
- After well combined, pour into a greased or parchment lined baking dish and evenly spread.
- Chill until solid.
- In a microwave safe bowl, heat the dark chocolate and coconut oil. Mix well.
- After the crispy mixture is solid, cut into pieces.
