Philly Cheesesteak Cups takes your favorite sandwich and turns it into hand held bites that are cheesy, delicious and ready in 30 minutes!

1 Tbsp unsalted butter
½ small onion (diced)
½ green bell pepper (diced)
1 clove garlic (minced)
½ pound lean ground beef
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
1 can crescent roll dough sheet
4 slices provolone cheese (cut into 4ths)
1 scallion (thinly sliced for garnish, optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Place a large skillet over medium-low heat, once hot, melt the butter and cook the onions and bell pepper until softened, stirring occasionally, 5-8 minutes. Add the garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, break it up, and brown the meat until there is no pink left. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning, mix in to combine, set to the side off the heat.
  • Spray 8 sections of a muffin tin with baking spray, set aside. Cut the crescent dough into 8 equal squares. Press the dough into the greased muffin tin.
  • Add one piece of cheese to the bottom of each piece of dough. Evenly spoon the meat mixture on top.
  • Add another piece of cheese on top of the meat. Close the cups by folding over the corners on top.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Take out of the sections and garnish with scallions, optional.

6 mini bagels, halved
8 oz. steak
1/2 c green bell pepper, diced
1/2 c onion, diced
1/2 c mushrooms, diced
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Olive oil
12 slices Provolone or white American cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400. Cut steak into small chunks. Heat oil in skillet over high heat, add steak and sear on high heat for 1-2 minutes then remove from pan. In the same pan, in the steak juices, add pepper and onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, then add mushrooms. Add steak back to skillet and season with salt and pepper. After all is mixed, remove skillet from heat and set aside. Place bagel slices on a baking sheet, then put about 2T of meat mixture on each bagel slice, top with a slice of cheese. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 400 until cheese is melted and bagel is crispy on the bottom. Serve immediately.

  • Meanwhile chop onion and green pepper. Cook onion and peppers along with sandwich steaks over medium heat. Cook until steak is no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Alright, first off, get your olive oil nice and warm in a skillet, add your chopped onion and peppers. Sautè on medium high heat for about 5 minutes. Add the mushrooms and sautè for another 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • There's enough fat in the rib-eye (same with the ground beef, but if you are using flank steak, add a little oil) you can just put the beef in the skillet as is. Cook, stirring frequently for just a minute or so. The meat is thinly sliced enough that it only takes about a minute to cook through. It's okay if the meat breaks apart.
  • Immediately add the pepper mixture back to the skillet with the beef. Add your seasonings, cream, and milk. Bring to a light boil, stirring constantly - shouldn't take long for the mixture to thicken. Remove from heat.
