Pizza Wings! Two great game day recipes combined into one delicious meal

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb chicken wings
3/4 cup pizza sauce
1/2 teaspoon oregano
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperonis

Steps:

  • Place wings, pizza sauce and oregano in a ziploc bag. Toss until wings are fully coated. Marinade in the fridge for 3-5 hours.
  • Preheat grill. Remove wings from bag and place on the grill over indirect heat. Grill for 25-35 minutes, turning occasionally, until wings begin to brown and meat is cooked through. Move wings over direct flame to crisp the skin. Cook about 2 minutes on each side.
  • Remove wings from grill and immediate sprinkle with cheese and pepperonis.
  • Serve.

3 lbs chicken wings
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons dry pizza seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon coarse grind pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F and line 2 jelly roll pans with foil.
  • arrange wings skin side up on pans.
  • Combine sauce with next 5 ingredIents. Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture and brush wing with remaining mixture.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven; brush with reserved sauce. Bake until no longer pink inside and cheese melts.
