Air Fryer Pommes Frites image

This recipe will give you a savory snack in just a few minutes. With some simple preparation, you will have a restaurant-quality side that is sure to become a favorite amongst your friends and family.

Number Of Ingredients 8

20 ounces frozen French Fries thin cut
Seasoning
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan Cheese
2 teaspoons finely minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (look for Tony Chachere's brand)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F 2. Remove the French Fries from the bag and empty into a medium to large bowl 3. Pour 1 teaspoon olive oil over the top of the French Fries and toss the fries to coat them with the oil, then sprinkle with salt 4. Place an even layer of fries into the air fryer tray 5. Cook the fries at 380°F for 10 minutes 6. While the fries are cooking, make your seasoning mixture by combining grated parmesan cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, minced garlic, cajun seasoning, parsley, and kosher salt in a bowl 7. When the fries are finished cooking, remove the fries and place on a lined baking sheet 8. Sprinkle your seasoning mixture over the top of the fries 9. Use a spatula or tongs to serve 10. Enjoy!!!

Try out these amazing Pommes Frites that are seasoned and cooked to perfection! They are the perfect side dish for just about anything. After all, everyone loves fries!

5 russet potatoes ((sliced))
oil ((for frying))
1 tablespoon salt

Steps:

  • Cut up your potatoes into thin slices and rinse them in cold water.
  • Preheat oil on the stove or in your deep fryer to 325 degrees.
  • Add your fries to the oil once it's hot, and let cook for 5 minutes or until they're slightly crispy, but not quite done.
  • Remove from the oil and set on a paper towel. Let them cool down for at least 20 minutes.
  • Heat your oil to 350 degrees, and add the fries back in. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they're golden brown. Remove them and set on a paper towel to dry. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Copycat Disneyland Pommes Frites with Cajun Remoulade Recipe image

One of my favorite things to order at Disney is the Pommes Frites with Cajun Remoulade. Whenever I'm missing Disneyland, I whip up a batch of these at it usually tides me over a little bit longer.

Vegetable Oil (for frying)
24 ounces frozen french fries (1 package)
2 Tablespoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 teaspoons parsley (finely chopped)
salt to taste
½ cup thousand island dressing
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon minced garlic
¼ teaspoon Dijon style mustard
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon old bay seasoning
dash of paprika
dash of lemon juice
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Fill a large pot (or deep fryer) with a few inches of vegetable oil and heat until 375 degrees F.
  • Cook fries in small batches for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Remove fries from oil and drain on paper towels
  • Use paper towels to gently soak up any extra oil.
  • Place fries in a large bowl and toss with garlic, Old Bay seasoning, parmesan cheese, parsley and salt.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the Cajun Remoulade and keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Serve fries warm with remoulade for dipping.

  • Place oil into a large 3-5 quart pot over medium heat with a deep frying/candy thermometer attached. Heat oil to 375 degrees F. Open French Fry bag and have a deep frying sieve ready to assist getting the French fries in and out of the oil. Have a large plate nearby lined with a paper towel to drain the French Fries alone with a large bowl to toss the French Fries with the Pommes Frites seasoning.
  • To prepare the Pommes Frites seasoning, place both Parmesan cheeses, garlic, Cajun seasoning, parsley and salt into a medium bowl. Stir to combine and set aside.
  • Prepare the Cajun Remoulade while oil is coming up to temperature. Place Thousand Island Dressing, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, Dijon, Creole Seasoning, lemon juice, paprika, salt and pepper into a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Place into a serving dish that will be used to dip the Pommes Frites in.
  • When oil has come up to temperature, carefully place fries into oil, in 2 batches. Use sieve to stir French fries while they cook. Cook fries for 3-4 minutes, until crisp and starting to turn golden brown. Carefully remove fries with sieve directly onto the paper towel lined plate. Let drain for 30 seconds then transfer to the large bowl. Immediately toss cheese mixture over fries and stir to coat. Transfer Pommes Frites to a serving dish lined with parchment paper. Serve with Cajun Remoulade.
